Capcom is preparing a patch for DuckTales Remastered that, along with other elements, will fix online leaderboard issues in the Wii U version.

Capcom-Unity staffer JimmyRey confirmed the upcoming update. There’s no word yet on when it will be available, but one would think that we’ll be seeing it sooner rather than later.

…we are forumlating our patch plans now for all SKUs. I won’t go into details yet, but once I have a timeline and a patch list, I’ll be sure to let you know. There was a small update on Steam but it was for very small, super easy, low risk issues. A more meanful update to address issues for all systems is still being worked on and needs to go through our QA process and 1st party’s cert process.

I apologize for any inconvenince any of the issues you’ve run into might cause you. Unforutnately, QA is not an exact science. Having shipped many titles, I can tell you that there are some issues can only manifest themselves when being released out to the wild and you’ll never see in QA, like the Wii U leaderboard issue. Some issues occur very rarely and we may see once or twice during QA, but never have reliable steps to recreate and fix the issues, but when you have exponentially more users looking at it, a rare issue will sometimes appear with more frequency.
