Nintendo’s Shinya Takahashi was on hand for the BAFTA Games Awards earlier today. After the event wrapped up and the company took home a few awards, BBC briefly conducted an interview with Takahashi.

To begin, BBC asked how it feels to be a part of Nintendo’s comeback. Takahashi said in response:

GameStop has been the go-to retailer for SNES Classic Edition restocks as of late, but Amazon is now getting in on the fun as well. You can place an order on the retailer’s website here.

Oddly Amazon has this down as limited availability, though the SNES Classic Edition is less than 10% claimed at present. Still, keep that in mind if you plan on picking up a unit.

As many of you know, there’s been an ongoing saga over Billy Mitchell’s supposed high score in Donkey Kong. Twin Galaxies handed down its verdict today, stripping Mitchell of his scores in Donkey Kong as well as other games. Additionally, he’s been banned from submitting scores to Twin Galaxies – a significant blow as it’s the world’s largest tracker of gaming records.

Twin Galaxies ultimately determined that Mitchell’s high score of 1,047,200 was not earned on an arcade machine. Instead, it’s believed that he achieved the record through emulation software. Steve Wiebe is now said to be the first official million point record holder following today’s news.

Twin Galaxies explained its decision in a lengthy statement today:

This week, Atlus published a massive developer Q&A for Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey. Director Eiji Ishida, world setting investigator / level designer Tatsuya Watanabe, and Alex’s character designer / new demon designer Masayuki Doi fielded all sorts of questions from fans.

The developers spoke about the game itself, including setting, characters, and difficulty. Other topics like the series’ future and more were touched on as well.

You can read the full Q&A below.

Rumor has it that a Pokemon park will be added to Universal Studios Orlando. Following up on a report from Theme Park University blogger Josh Young, WFTV has also heard from “numerous sources inside Universal who say Pokemon is indeed coming to Universal Orlando.”

The Pokemon park will apparently be housed at the KidZone section of Universal, where Woody Woodpecker and Barney can currently be found. Nintendo’s Mario Kart and Donkey Kong roller coaster rides were apparently intended to be placed there previously, though they’ll instead be built at the 400 acres Universal recently bought near Kirkman Avenue.

WFTV reports that the Pokemon park will arrive in 2020.

A new wave of photos have apparently emerged from the Detective Pikachu film set. Images show extras dressed in Pikachu and Snorlax outfits as well as green-screen suits, actress Kathryn Newton in a red blazer with the pin “CNM” under her lapel, a group of cast members dressed in silver outfits with matching purple baseball caps, and more. Anime News Network also reports that large balloons were released into the sky as actors Ken Watanabe and Bill Nighy looked on.

Below is the full set of photos:

It’s important to note that the Detective Pikachu movie isn’t intended to be a full recreation of the game. As one example, Lucy went by the name Emilia Christie in the English game and wasn’t sassy.
