By all (or at least most) accounts, the Xenoblade series sort of peaked with the release of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and its DLC, Future Redeemed. The base game told a completely new story that could technically be understood without playing the prior games (but was enhanced by doing so) while also tying together the futures of the worlds from Xenoblade Chronicles and its sequel. Without going into too much detail right off the bat, Xenoblade 3’s ending is said to have wrapped up the series – or at least the Klaus trilogy. That being said, there are a few loose ends introduced in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 that weren’t fully tied up – and today, we’re going over which of these plot points we can expect to see in future games, if any at all. Do keep in mind that there are spoilers ahead.

Star Fox return Takaya Imamura Miyamoto

Nintendo hasn’t done much with Star Fox since Star Fox Zero on Wii U – which came out years ago – but Takaya Imamura believes it will return someday.

For those that are unaware, Imamura was the character designer for Star Fox. He naturally has ties to Shigeru Miyamoto, who took the lead on the franchise. Imamura was speaking with The Gamer in a recent interview and mentioned how Miyamoto has “strong feelings” for Star Fox. While no one can say what exactly will happen in the future, Imamura thinks it will return at some point, but in what form and when he wouldn’t make any predictions.

A new image of the official Zelda timeline has been shared featuring Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom which appears to suggest that the duology are separate from the rest of the current timeline as we know it.

The information has been shared at Nintendo Live 2024, which is currently happening at Sydney, Australia.

Nintendo minerals

Unlosing Writer recently published a new report on the use of conflict zones minerals from hardware manufactures, and it includes some praise for Nintendo.

Legislation in the US and Europe keep an eye on minerals used for production, which tends to be tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold. This is done so that companies are transparent with the countries and specific mines where their resources come from, and helps to avoid funding operations that abuse human rights.

Hironobu Sakaguchi Final Fantasy most complete

What’s the “most complete” entry in the Final Fantasy series? According to original creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, that honor falls to Final Fantasy I.

Sakaguchi shared a few words about the game in an interview with Invervse. Sakaguchi said that Final Fantasy I is the “closest in its final form based on what we set out to achieve.” If he didn’t go with that game, Final Fantasy VI would be the next choice given how it stands out in the franchise and was the last true pixel art entry.

Shadow the Hedgehog Vegeta

Sonic Team boss Takashi Iizuka took the opportunity to clarify in a recent interview that Shadow the Hedgehog is “not Vegeta in any way.”

Iizuka was speaking with GamesRadar at Gamescom, and was asked if fans have interpreted the character in a different way than how he originally intended. That’s where the talk about Vegeta began.
