After recent controversy, Nintendo will no longer be recognizing the win team Jackpot had in the 2024 Splatoon 3 World Championship.
The company put out a statement on social media which mentions that some members of team Jackpot “acted in a manner that is not in line with our Community Guidelines”. Due to this, their win will be voided and they won’t be getting trophies either. Nintendo will also adjust the Splatoon 3 Splashtag banner that was released with a future patch.

3 things we want to see in the next Paper Mario game
Posted on 5 months ago by Ethan in Features, General Nintendo | 0 comments
It’s no secret that the Paper Mario series took a steep downhill tumble when Sticker Star first released in 2012. In many ways, it was almost not a Paper Mario game at all. The franchise is known for its story, unique characters, and RPG mechanics – and starting with Sticker Star in 2012, the series lost just about all of those things. Paper Mario: Color Splash was then released in 2016, and while it retained many of Sticker Star’s questionable-at-best design decisions, it was a much better game overall. Then we got Paper Mario: The Origami King in 2020, which actually introduced more than one original character for the first time in years. To everyone’s surprise, the next Paper Mario game was a remake of The Thousand-Year Door, with no original characters cut in any way. Between this and the revival of Super Mario RPG, things are looking better for the Paper Mario series. But what could we expect out of a future game in the series?

Today, former staff from Skip – the company known for its work on Chibi-Robo – unveiled its new development team Tiny Wonder Studio and announced koROBO as its first project. The game is targeting PC as well as “modern consoles” – so we’re hoping that includes Switch and / or its successor.
Tiny Wonder Studio employees key members that worked at Skip and other veterans in the industry. The lineup includes original Chibi-Robo director Kenichi Nishi (who’s also co-directing KoROBO), Keita Eto (directed previous Chibi-Robo titles and is co-director here), third co-director Hiroshi Moriyama, producer Hisashi Koshimizu, and character designer Hikarin.

External translators that worked on Nintendo games not being listed in the credits
Posted on 5 months ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
Game Developer published a report on Nintendo’s practices today after speaking with multiple sources who say the company has not credited them for their translation work on a variety of projects.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Super Mario RPG are some of the titles in which translators were not listed in the credits for their contributions. Much of the controversy seems to stem from work done by external agencies rather than in-house.
