Pokemon: Twilight Wings episode 2 coming on February 18, characters appearing in future episodes revealed

The Pokemon Company announced today that the second episode of Pokemon: Twilight Wings, the animated web series focusing on the Galar region, will be available on February 18 at 10 PM JST. It’s also been announced that several characters from Pokemon Sword & Shield will appear in future episodes of Twilight Wings, namely Leon, Hop, Sonia, Milo, Nessa, Bea and Allister.

Sonic the Hedgehog panel returning to SXSW 2020, and it sounds like there could be announcements

Sonic the Hedgehog and SXSW seem to go hand and hand. SEGA has held annual panels at the expo, and that will be the case once again this year. Also keeping in line with tradition, it sounds like we could be getting some announcements.

Banjo-Kazooie was apparently named after the family of former Nintendo president Hiroshi Yamauchi

As reported by VGC, Banjo-Kazooie’s name has ties to former Nintendo president Hiroshi Yamauchi.
Yamauchi has a grandson called Banjo Yamauchi. His son is named Katsuhito Yamauchi, otherwise known as ‘Katsuhi’ for short. When they’re combined, you get ‘Banjo-Katsuhi’. That sounds a whole lot like Banjo-Kazooie, doesn’t it?
Series creator Greg Mayles says that the part about ‘Banjo’ is spot on while composer Grant Kirkhope says the story is true:

Xbox boss says Microsoft has “a ton of respect” for Nintendo, but doesn’t see the company as a main competitor

Nintendo isn’t one of Microsoft’s main competitors, Xbox boss Phil Spencer has said.
Speaking with Protocol, Spencer instead pointed to Amazon and Google as primary threats. Despite having “a ton of respect” for Nintendo, he feels that the Big N is “somewhat out of position” due to a lack of investment in the cloud space.

To celebrate Pokemon Day 2020, a Pokemon of the Year competition has been announced. Fans can vote on their favorite Pokemon starting today and running through February 14.

Evo 2020 lineup announced

During a live stream today, the full lineup for Evo 2020 was announced. The fighting tournament will feature Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Samurai Shodown, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[cl-r], Tekken 7, Street Fighter V: Championship Edition, Soulcalibur V, and Granblue Fantasy Versus. Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes will also have an 8-player invitational tournament.
Evo 2020 will take place between July 31 and August 2 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Castlevania Season 3 slated for March 5 on Netflix

The third season of the Castlevania animated series finally has a release date. It will debut on March 5, Netflix has announced.
Netflix says “there’s more mystery, murder, mayhem, and vampires than ever” for the new season. We have a poster above.
