Following changes made to YouTube in January, Nintendo has laid out how these changes will reshape the Nintendo Creators Program (NCP) in an email sent out to NCP members. Specifically, eligibility requirements have been reworked. Current channels involved with NCP who do not meet the new requirements will be deactivated from the program. The latest European episode of The Cat Mario Show has gone live on Nintendo’s YouTube channel. You can watch it below.

Japanese outlet Entertainment Station published two new interviews with Yusuke Soejima and Park Masashi who lead the way on Nintendo’s indie efforts in Japan. When asked about the difference between indie games and conventional titles and how they’re recognized, Masashi stated that they’re viewed equally.

Masashi told Entertainment Station (via Fukuzatsu):

A number of Splatoon 2 competitions have been taking place over the past few months to determine local champions from some of Europe’s key regions. These winners will now be battling it out at Polymanga’s grand stage in Switzerland to determine the Splatoon European Championship on March 31.

Also at the event, a special virtual concert will be held featuring Pearl and Marina from Off the Hook. They’ll be appearing onstage “to sing along to a series of tracks and perform their slickest choreographed moves, all accompanied by a live band.” This will take place before the Splatoon European Championship.

Nintendo will be sharing more information about the Splatoon European Championship leading up to the event.

This week’s episode of Nintendo Minute has gone live. In today’s video, Kit and Krysta write silly Nintendo-themed stories but left some essential words blank for the other person to fill in. Check out the full episode below.

SEGA is continuing its promotional efforts for the new Sonic comic, which debuts in April. IDW has come up with two new villains: Rough and Tumble. Both will be appearing in issue three.

According to associate editor David Marriotte, “They’re independent agents, and more bullies than masterminds, but they’re tough enough to maybe become someone’s henchmen down the line.”

Bayonetta 3 was only just announced in December, and likely won’t be releasing for quite some time. Still, that doesn’t mean PlatinumGames lacks interest in continuing the franchise in the future.

Over on Twitter, original Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya said that he has ideas for a fourth Bayonetta. Though the comment alone doesn’t guarantee another entry in the franchise, the interest is definitely there. It’s also encouraging that Platinum would know how to continue to the series following Bayonetta 3.
