The Super Mario Bros. Movie has a few months to go until its debut (you can see the latest trailer here by the way), but it looks like McDonald’s already has a big promotion planned – at least in Japan.
A flyer is starting to be distributed at the restaurant revealing that toys will be included with Happy Meals in just a few weeks. Two (well, technically three) waves will be happening. The first features Mario, Peach, Toad, and Donkey Kong. The second has Mario, Luigi, Bowser, and a character that isn’t currently named but seems to be some kind of Luma. For the third round, it sounds like all of the eight toys will be offered at the same time.
Inside the Nintendo E3 2012 conference with infamous Nintendo Land fireworks ending

Former Nintendo of America employees Kit Ellis and Krysta Yang have shared insight into the company’s notorious E3 2012 press conference which ended on the display of fireworks from Nintendo Land. The two reflected on what happened during a recent episode of their podcast.
Nintendo has had some amazing moments at E3, but some infamous ones as well. Some will probably never forget the Wii Music performance with DJ Ravi Drums in 2008 and things going wrong during Shigeru Miyamoto’s demo of Zelda: Skyward Sword in 2010. Unfortunately, another instance of things not exactly going well was the aforementioned Nintendo Land closer.

Microsoft elaborates on plans for Call of Duty on Nintendo platforms
Posted on 2 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News, Switch | 0 comments
Microsoft dropped some surprising news this week, revealing that it had reached a 10-year commitment to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo platforms. Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has now followed up with some additional information. This comes as part of an interview with The Washington Post.
One of the main takeaways is that the goal would be for a new Call of Duty game to end up on a Nintendo system at the same time as other platforms. However, it’s unlikely for anything to materialize next year. If it’s not blocked by regulators, Microsoft’s acquisition deal of Activision Blizzard – including the Call of Duty franchise – wouldn’t happen until June 2023.

2017 was a massive year for Nintendo. The Switch itself launched in March, and a bunch of big games released, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey. In the end, it was Zelda that won Game of the Year.
