Criterion toyed around with “Need for Speed: Millionaire” concept
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 1 Comment
Need for Speed… Millionaire? Believe it or not, Criterion did indeed toy around with such a concept.
Criterion creative director Alex Ward revealed the canned idea on Twitter, which was an experiment that came about prior to Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit’s development.
Need for Speed: Millionaire would have allowed players to buy all available Supercars for you and your friends after winning a lottery. Ward said the game “was supposed to be Freeburn meets Top Gear challenges.” It was in a playable state, but Criterion only tried things out for about six months before moving on to Hot Pursuit.

Super Mario 3D World’s multiplayer looks like a bunch of fun. It’s great and all that you can play locally with three other friends, but wouldn’t it have been nice to tackle the game online with others as well?
Kotaku recently decided to ask Shigeru Miyamoto about the lack of online play in Super Mario 3D World, to which he said the functionality “simply wasn’t the focus for us this time around.” Miyamoto explained that Nintendo was interested in making “something that people could experience fully while playing comfortably with others who were nearby them”.

Mojo Bones has some interest in Wii U
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
Mojo Bones, developer of the upcoming 3DS eShop title Siesta Fiesta, has some interest in Nintendo’s latest home console.
Designer Stuart Ryall told Nintendo Life that that the studio is focusing on handhelds for the time being, “but Wii U is something we’d be open to exploring in future.” Siesta Fiesta “would translate well” to the system, he said. Still, Mojo Bones doesn’t have any immediate plans for Wii U.
Ryall said:
“We’re focusing strictly on handheld at the moment, but Wii U is something we’d be open to exploring in future. Siesta Fiesta’s mechanics would translate well to the Wii U so it would be something worth looking at if the 3DS version does well. No current plans though.”
