Ami Takai worked on object design in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, specifically regarding furniture. In a post on Nintendo’s recruitment site, Takai explained how the whole process of development took place.
It may not seem like a complicated position, but furniture creation is actually a significant part of Animal Crossing’s design. Takai ended up making “hundreds of kinds of furniture”, all of which needed to be presented well in HD.

SacriFire delayed to 2023, new trailer

SacriFire has been delayed, and it will no longer make its originally planned 2022 release window.
Pixelated Milk revealed the JRPG-inspired game exactly a year ago. Today, the studio announced that the release window has shifted to 2023.

Tactical turn-based game Tyrant’s Blessing set for Switch

Freedom Games and Mercury Game Studio are teaming up on Tyrant’s Blessing, a “a tactical turn-based game where your ability to plan, adapt, and strategize is more important than min-maxing your units or finding the sharpest sword in the hoard.” The title is confirmed for Switch and is intended to launch this summer.

Adventure game Monorail Stories in the works for Switch

The adventure title Monorail Stories is currently planned for Switch, publisher Freedom Games and developer Stelex Software have announced. It’s targeting launch for Q4 2022.
Monorail Stories focuses on extraordinary things happening to ordinary people. The story revolves around Silvie and Ahmal, from the City of M and the City of L. While they don’t know each other and commute between the cities each day at different times, they affect each other’s lives through the monorail they share each day. Silvie and Ahmal “choose who to talk to on the monorail, how to treat their fellow commuters, and what to do as the monorail makes its run over the Bay.”
