We’ve already seen plenty of comparisons for Xenoblade Chronicles on Switch and Wii, but a video from Nintendo World Report throws the New 3DS version into the mix as well. Have a look at it below.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will be hitting Switch on May 29.

Igrasil Studio just opened a new Kickstarter campaign for War of Ashird, which has already achieved full funding. Backers have raised over $30,000, and there’s still a full month to go to contribute.

War of Ashird is a strategic turn-based fantasy RPG that has players commanding soldiers and conquering enemy kingdoms’ territories. More than 20 playable characters will be included.

We have the following overview and trailer for War of Ashird:

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition

It’s pretty clear that Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition uses the voice work from the original Wii title. However, we also know that the game features Future Connected, an entirely new epilogue created specifically for the Switch release. Thankfully, fans can rest easy knowing that all of the original cast returned, including Jenna Coleman – who originally voiced Melia.

When we first heard about Future Connected, it was more or less confirmed that Adam Howden would reprise his role as Shulk, though there was some uncertainty as to who would play Melia. Coleman has had some notable roles in other media since Xenoblade Chronicles launched a decade ago such as Clara Oswald on Doctor Who, so it was anybody’s guess if Nintendo would be able to bring her back. In a preview video with RogersBase, a Nintendo Threehouse representative confirmed that Coleman did in fact return, and that goes for the whole voice cast as well.

You can see that video and a whole bunch of other footage in our roundup here.

Square Enix

E3 2020 is undoubtedly the biggest gaming event of the year, especially when it comes to new announcements. But after the expo was cancelled due to the coronavirus, publishers were left scrambling and have been forced to reshuffle their plans. We’ve started to see some companies regroup with online events such as Ubisoft, but Square Enix won’t be included in that.

The company has confirmed that it won’t be hosting an online event to unveil upcoming releases for this year’s fiscal releases. Square Enix explained that making assets in time has become difficult because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Square Enix previously said it was “exploring other options” to share news about its games. It has now decided to announce new titles on an individual basis.
