Xenoblade developer Monolith Soft recruiting staff for new RPG project

According to a translation from Gematsu from Monolith Soft’s website, the 1st Production development department is hiring staff for an unspecified RPG. Here’s what the listing reads:
The studio is seeking programmers (graphics programmers, character control programmers, and AI programmers), planners (level designers), technical artists (modeling TA, animation TA, and effects TA), designers (map modelers, in-game animators, character modelers, character designers for the artwork staff, and script event creators), and management and support staff (production assistants and event production management) to work on the RPG.

According to a translation of a report from the Wall Street Journal Japan, Nintendo plans to launch a new version of the Switch in the second half of this year. We’ll update as this story develops.

According to Kotaku Australia, Telltale Games is trying to see their Walking Dead game series to its end despite widespread layoffs two weeks ago. They hope to hire another company to assist them in doing that. Kotaku shares a lot more details in their article.

Capcom announces live-action Hollywood Mega Man film

Capcom is taking Mega Man to the big screen. Today, the company announced that its well-known franchise is getting the Hollywood movie treatment.
As of now, the project is simply known as Mega Man. It’ll be written and directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, with 20th Century Fox handling distribution. Chernin Entertainment, responsible for the Planet of the Apes series, will be in charge of producing with Masi Oka.
