Azure Reflections

A pair of upcoming Switch titles have received release dates in Japan.

First, The Midnight Sanctuary – a 3D novel game – is planned for September 6. Pricing is set at 1,200 yen.

Even sooner than that is Touhou Azure Reflections, which arrives on August 30. No word on pricing for this one yet.

Broken Sword 5: the Serpent’s Curse is coming to Switch, ‬Revolution Software and Ravenscourt announced today. The adventure game will be coming to Nintendo’s console worldwide on September 21.

On Switch, Broken Sword 5 will include behind the scenes movies that can be unlocked as play progresses. These clips “reveal the story and the development process behind the game, through previously unreleased interviews with the Broken Sword team.” Joy-Con and touch screen play are both supported.

A-Kei Otaku Kanojo is planned for Switch, Worker Bee announced today. After previously appearing on mobile, the romance visual novel will be seeing a release on Nintendo’s console.

Super Mario Run is hosting a Gold Goomba Lite event. While active, players will have an easier chance to receive in-game rewards.

With each Gold Goomba defeated, you’ll be given a stamp. The game has four stamp cards in total, and each one provides an in-game item.

Persona Q2 was announced for 3DS one year ago. Atlus has said nothing since, but we’re finally due for a proper update.

The company has confirmed that a commercial for Persona Q2 will air in Japan during the latest episode of Persona 5: The Animation, which is happening on August 4. Atlus says that it will have new information.

Gensokyo Defenders

Switch is getting yet another Touhou Project game. Today, Neetpia revealed that the action tower defense title Gensokyo Defenders is making its way to the console.

Gensokyo Defenders is due out this fall in Japan. Pricing is set at 2,160 yen.

Last year, the well-regarded title Tokyo Dark originally debuted. The mashup of point-an-click and visual novel is now making the jump to Switch.

Tokyo Dark: Remembrance “completes the mysteries left by the original” with a director’s cut experience on Nintendo’s console. It has been rebuilt for the system, featuring new scenes, art, and additional endings.

Dragon Ball FighterZ

The online beta for Dragon Ball FighterZ on Switch will start next week, Bandai Namco has announced. In Japan, it’s set to take place between August 10 at 1 PM until August 12 at 4 PM.

When the beta starts, 23 characters will be available. You’ll also be able to use a new Extreme Type controls method.

You can download the app for the Dragon Ball FighterZ beta from the Japanese eShop now. It takes up 3.1GB of space.

Animal Crossing’s latest event is now live. Redd’s Summer Festival is here, lasting until August 13.

Redd has set up a shop for the festival. Players will need to help him collect the rare creatures known as flickerflies and complete requests to earn rewards.

A few new video clips have popped up for Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu / Eevee. The full set, posted below, show Venusaur, Electrode, Onix, Caterpie, and Golem following the trainer.
