Another Alolan Pokemon has been spotted in the wild for Pokemon GO. If you’re out exploring with the game, you may come across Alolan Rattata (and therefore Alolan Raticate as well). We’re hearing reports that the Pokemon is live in various parts of the world.

Players seem to be surprised that Alolan Rattata is here. Niantic hasn’t officially announced its arrival, but you can nevertheless add it to your collection.

Splatoon 2

A few weeks ago, modders and hackers managed to get a rudimentary version of an unreleased Splatoon 2 mode up and running. A second similar mode has been given the same treatment.

Pokemon CEO and president Tsunekazu Ishihara wasn’t always a believer in Switch. In fact, he told Nintendo prior to its release that it wouldn’t be successful. He felt that “in the age of the smartphone, no one would carry out a game console.”

Switch did end up becoming a success in the end having sold close to 20 million units as of Nintendo’s last fiscal year. Ishihara came to understand that “the key to a successful game is quite simple: software with absolute quality leads sales of hardware.”

After a fairly long wait, Hollow Knight was dropped onto the Switch eShop next week. If you prefer having a game physically though, it sounds like a new option will soon be available to you.

Team Cherry said in a Reddit AMA that the company is working to make a physical version happen as we speak. The developer hopes to have some news “very soon”.

Pinstripe

Pinstripe is getting a Switch release, creator Thomas Brush has confirmed. A release hasn’t been determined yet, but it’s expected in a month or so.

Originally released last April, Pinstripe is a puzzle-adventure game in which a former minister moves through the frozen depths of Hell in search of his kidnapped daughter. We have more information and a trailer below.

Thanks to CoroCoro, we have the first trailer for Yo-kai Watch 4. The video, posted below, doesn’t actually show a whole lot and lacks gameplay entirely. Still, it’s one of our first look at the RPG, which is heading to Switch in Japan later this year.
