Japan’s first Splatfest for Splatoon 2 is rock vs. pop

Splatfests are back in Splatoon 2. And before the game launches later this month, fans will be able to download a demo event from the eShop to participate in the first competition.
North America and Europe have the same topic, which is cake vs. ice cream. In Japan though, it’s entirely different. Players in that country will instead be asked if they prefer rock or pop.
So which of these two topics do you prefer?

Nintendo shares another new piece of Zelda art for Japan Expo 2017

Nintendo published another piece of new Zelda art just in time for Japan Expo 2017. Series producer Eiji Aonuma and other developers will be hosting a special masterclass at the French expo this week.
As for the art, it’s based on Eugène Delacroix’s “La Liberté guidant le peuple”. That’s an artwork at the Louvre, in case you were unaware.

Thimbleweed Park confirmed for Switch

Thimbleweed Park, a new game from Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick, is officially heading to Switch. A video was posted today showing the title running on Nintendo’s system.
Here’s a look:
Thimbleweed Park is developed by Terrible Toybox. It’s considered to be a spiritual successor to Gilbert and Winnick’s adventure games Maniac Mansion and The Secret of Monkey Island.

Sonic Forces – main theme “Fist Bump” released, vocals included

SEGA is giving fans another taste of Sonic Forces’ music with the main theme “Fist Bump”. We’ve heard this track slightly before, but vocals are now included. Listen to the music below.
Vocals and lyrics were done by Douglas Robb (Hoobastank). It was composed and arranged by Tomoya Ohtani. Finally, strings were arranged by Takahito Eguchi.

Fatal Fury Special is next week’s NeoGeo game on Switch

The European eShop has updated with a listing for next week’s NeoGeo game on Switch. Fatal Fury Special is set to arrive on July 13.
Here’s an overview:
Fatal Fury Special is a fighting game released by SNK in 1993. Fatal Fury Special is a powered-up version of Fatal Fury 2 which brings a faster game speed, introduces combo attacks for the first time in the series, and welcomes more returning characters for a total of 15 fighters. Clear the game with specific conditions and Ryo Sakazaki from Art of Fighting will appear.
Fatal Fury Special will be priced at $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29.
