Pokemon Bank: upcoming generation 1 transfer details
Posted on 7 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in 3DS, 3DS eShop, News | 3 Comments
While we still don’t have a concrete date beyond “late January” for the update that will implement Pokemon Bank compatibility with Pokemon Sun & Moon, we at least have some news about the transfer process from the generation 1 Virtual Console games to Pokemon Bank. This comes to us via Nintendo Hong Kong and Serebii.
One big question about this transfer process was how it would handle IVs, Natures and Abilities, since these didn’t exist (Natures & Abilities) or worked differently (IVs) in Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow. It seems like, when transferring a generation 1 Pokemon to Pokemon Bank, it will have 3 maxed out IVs and receive a random Nature and Ability (out of the ones it can have), with the possibility of it receiving its Hidden Ability. Transferred Pokemon will also receive a special Game Boy mark on their summary page, to indicate that they have been transferred from a generation 1 game.
A handy new feature is that you don’t need to transfer Pokemon to your games in order to register them in the National Pokedex. If you have all of your various games connected to Pokemon Bank, the Bank will sync them all up and combine all the Pokemon you own across your games into one list. You can also track various in-game statistics directly via the Bank, such as the total number of eggs you have hatched.
It will also be possible to send Battle Points again.

Ultra Street Fighter II details online mode
Posted on 7 years ago by Jake in News, Switch | 32 Comments
Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers’ web page has updated with new information on how the various network modes will work. There will be an Arcade mode where you face against CPU’s to reach the end of the game, but players can cut in and challenge you, as if it is an arcade machine. The regular online mode will be divided between Casual and Ranked play. Ranked mode will have players winning or losing two types of points (Player and Battle) as they fight. It will feature Quick and Custom matches, as well as the ability to play with friends. Players can even create their own lobbies, setting personal rules and waiting for interested players to join. Casual mode will be a way to play without risking points. The game will also feature a local mode that will let you connect to other Switch consoles.
The page also indicates at the bottom that there will be the option for simplified Lite commands, allowing players to assign more complicated button combinations to single presses. It should be noted that this feature appeared in the 3DS version of Street Fighter IV, and players could make sure they were not matched up against players who used the Lite controls.

Mega Man animated series clip was based on internal test, character’s look still evolving
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 4 Comments
Fans picked up on some footage from the Mega Man animated series during the weekend. Film Roman shared the first look, but it wasn’t intended for public consumption. Dentsu Entertainment informed Rockman Corner that the footage wasn’t final, and was based on internal animation tests.
Mega Man’s look in the show is apparently still evolving. The design shown in the clip doesn’t represent the final product.
One other note: despite what we heard previously, the Mega Man animated series doesn’t have a set network. It isn’t guaranteed to air on Disney XD.
