USGamer recently spoke with Risa Tabata, co-producer of Paper Mario: Color Splash. During the conversation, Tabata talked about topics such as working with Wii U and having more power, limited resources in battle in the form of cards, and giving Toads personality.

Nintendo Network

Wii U and 3DS will both be undergoing maintenance later today. The same will apply for the latter system once again tomorrow. For a little over two hours, certain network services such as online play, rankings, etc. will be affected.

Maintenance will take place at the following times:

– 9 PM PT (September 6) – 11:30 PM PT (September 6)
– 12 AM ET (September 7) – 2:30 AM ET (September 7)
– 5 AM in the UK (September 7) – 7:30 AM in the UK (September 7)
– 6 AM in Europe (September 7) – 8:30 AM in Europe (September 7)

It was only a few days ago that Nintendo aired the latest Nintendo Direct featuring a bunch of 3DS games. A new highlights video for the European broadcast has been prepared. We’ve posted it below.

This past Friday, Metroid Prime: Federation Force released in Europe. Nintendo now has a new launch trailer for the game available – see it below.

About a month ago, The Battle Cats POP! was removed from the European 3DS eShop. Folks who had purchased the game previously could redownload it, but no one was able to make any new purchases.

There is good news for those who were interested in the game. As of today, The Battle Cats POP! has returned to the European eShop. You can purchase the digital download once more.

Monster Hunter games are known for their collaborations. With Monster Hunter Stories, that tradition will continue.

We’ve already seen a few partnerships for Capcom’s latest game. Just last week for instance, it was revealed that a Zelda collaboration is planned. Capcom will also be teaming up with Jump, a magazine in Japan. Players will have an opportunity to receive a pirate outfit. We have a look at it above.
