A bit of footage has come in showing the new N-Zap ’85 weapon and Port Mackerel map in Splatoon. Check it out in the videos below.

Even though it’s been less than a week since Splatoon launched around the world, Nintendo is already adding content to the game. The Port Mackerel map, N-Zap ’85 weapon, and Ranked Battle mode have all gone live. In order to participate in Ranked Battle, you’ll need to be at level 10 or higher.

Nintendo will be adding even more content to Splatoon over the next few months. In August, two new matchmaking options will be offered, along with a new battle mode and gear.

Could Art Academy: Home Studio be receiving amiibo support? While it can’t be confirmed for sure just yet, that’s what an eShop listing is suggesting. Over on the North American Art Academy: Home Studio eShop page, amiibo is listed as one of its features. The title launches in just a few weeks, so Nintendo will probably need to make this known soon if it’s happening.

Nintendo has prepared a new update for all 3DS systems. As of now, version 9.8.0-25 can be downloaded.

Today’s update sadly doesn’t bring about any major new features or functionality. Of the upgrade, Nintendo says: “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.”

Remember: you’ll need the latest update in order to access the 3DS eShop.

Amazon U.S. and Nintendo haven’t had the best relationship. Because things have been sour between the two sides, Amazon tends not to sell hardware directly. It’s been possible to order Nintendo systems on the site, but only through third-party sellers in most instances.

So here’s an interesting development. It seems that, at least for now, Amazon is offering New 3DS XL units directly. You can buy a black or red portable and have it sold and shipped by Amazon themselves. I’m not sure if this is a permanent thing, but it’s an interesting development nonetheless!

FullBlast is launching on the European Wii U eShop this Thursday. If you plan on purchasing the game, keep in mind that the download requires 205 MB of space. That’s not a huge amount, but it’s not tiny either!

Nintendo unveiled a new Fire Emblem If element during yesterday’s Japanese Nintendo Direct, which is known as “My Castle”. A video was released shortly after the presentation showing the feature in-depth. You can watch it below with full English subtitles thanks to YouTube user “shadowofchaos725”.

With the initial footage we’ve seen of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, we have a pretty good idea about some of the new roster additions. Characters like Nabbit and Diddy Kong were shown, for example. The Nintendo Direct footage also gave a brief look at Zazz from Sonic Lost World (see the image above), along with Rouge the Bat and Jet the Hawk.
