Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash’s new Japanese website confirms that the title is compatible with 57 amiibo. Of course, that includes the special Chibi-Robo figure made specifically for the game.
amiibo based on the Smash Bros., Mario Party 10, and Yoshi’s Woolly World lines will work with Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash. When you tap any of them to the 3DS, you’ll earn in-game coins.

Sakaguchi says Final Fantasy VI didn’t sell well in the U.S. when it originally hit the SNES
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 30 Comments
Some have been under the impression that Final Fantasy VI was a disappointment from a sales perspective in Japan whereas it sold moderately well in America. However, this isn’t actually true.
Hironobu Sakaguchi, who produced Final Fantasy VI, has now cleared things up. It turns out that is was the United States is where the RPG didn’t sell. He added that Final Fantasy VII “actually did very well in Japan.”
Interestingly, bigger characters were used in future Final Fantasy titles – starting with Final Fantasy VII – due to the response to VI. Sakaguchi is also “mystified” by VI’s newfound popularity in the west.
“In terms of numbers, [Final Fantasy VI] didn’t sell in the States. It actually did very well in Japan. I’m mystified, because I see [Americans] are playing the [mobile] version. I think size of the characters really matters to an American audience, so from Final Fantasy VII onward, we used bigger characters. [I think] that’s why Final Fantasy VII took off. But I am kind of mystified [by VI’s current popularity in the West], because [Americans] didn’t buy Final Fantasy VI back then.”

Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News | 3 Comments
Earlier this week, Nintendo announced that the standard New 3DS will finally be making its way to North America as part of a bundle with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. GameStop put up pre-orders on its website shortly after the news came in, but the package has now sold out.
I don’t believe that the Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer New 3DS bundle is a GameStop exclusive. If we hear about other retailers taking pre-orders, we’ll let you know when they become available.
Renegade Kid talks Dementium Remastered improvements
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News | 3 Comments
Dementium: The Ward originally launched on DS back in October 2007. Later this year, the game will be available on the 3DS eShop with several improvements in the form of Dementium Remastered.
Here’s what Renegade Kid co-founder Jools Watsham says players can look forward to with the new version:
“New gameplay difficulty options include Normal, Hard, and Demented. We’ve added a manual save system (adopted from Dementium II). Enemies no longer respawn; a dead zombie stays dead! A lot of time and attention has been spent on increasing texture resolution, adding specular, detail, and normal maps to enemies and environments. Cut-scenes have all been re-rendered using new remastered enemy/environment art (not autostereoscopic 3D, though, to save on ROM size)”
You can get a look at Dementium Remastered’s new title screen above. If you use the QR code with your 3DS, you can view it in 3D.
