New screenshots and details have come in for the Japanese title Toushin Toshi. You can find the latest content below.

– Based off the second game in the series
– Story is about Seed
– Seed is a warrior who’s been training for years but watches as his greatest rival Billnas leave for the Toshin tournament with Hazuki, the woman he’s loved
– Classic story of betrayal and intrigue
– Hazuki thinks if Billnas wins, Seed will marry her
– Hazuki’s dad has other plans
– He confirms to Seed that the winner of the tournament will marry Hazuki and gain the dojo they trained in
– Winner will be lauded as the newest strongest member in the world
– Seed sets off to win the tournament himself
– Much of the game involved Seed wandering the labyrinth where the tournament is held, hunting monsters, foes and trying to advance his way to the end
– Battles are turn-based RPG classics
– Roughly 100 skills to choose from in 1v1 battles
– Fights revolve around Action Points
– Can choose to spend points dealing out massive damage, which can leave you defenseless, or hold back a little for the inevitable return fire
– Get a new skill by actively wooing the women of the world who are partnered with other contestants
– There’s a rule in which fighters must have a woman partnered with them
– Losers have to let the winners take their woman out for a date
– Give them gifts and you’ll eventually raise their trust and affection towards you
– Doing so finally unlocks their gift to you – those skills
– Can capture female monsters in the labyrinth
– Dozens of different quest options available to take on while leveling up before the next big fight in the tournament
– These ladies will turn into cards you can equip and level up separately, which further unlocks more skills

high_school_dxd_3ds_collectors_edition

Kadokawa Games has moved the Japanese release date of High School DxD. It was originally slated for November, but has now been delayed to December due to quality concerns.

Consumers will be able to purchase a collector’s edition for High School DxD when it finally becomes available. The package comes with items such as earphones, a cord manager with Rias art, a piece of cloth that can transform into underwear, a 3D card, and two decorative bands. Pricing is set at 9,240 yen.

Starting today, Best Buy is holding a “Holiday Kickoff” sale. Quite a few items are on sale, though some are already unavailable for shipping.

Highlights include Paper Mario: Sticker Star for $8 (in-store only), Batman: Arkham City for $15, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes Wii U for $20, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team for $25, and the Pokemon 3DS XL systems for $170 (in-store only).

Remember how Zelda: Skyward Sword’s main theme played backwards actually turned out to be Zelda’s Lullaby? It would appear that Nintendo has implemented something similar for a track in Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. One of the game’s musical pieces, if played in reverse, seems to be the Hyrule Castle theme from A Link to the Past.

2DS sales have risen 64 percent week-on-week in the UK. The boost, in part, is due to a price cut initiated by retailers. Argos, Amazon and Tesco, and others have been offering the 2DS for just under £100. The 2DS alone was the best-selling console in the UK last week, and that’s without counting 3DS/3DS XL sales.
