Pokemon Sun/Moon devs on connectivity with Pokemon GO, choosing platform for next entry, 3D, much more
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 12 Comments
A ton of Pokemon Sun/Moon developer interviews are starting to come online. Series producer Junichi Masuda and director Shigeru Ohmori fielded a ton of questions from the press.
First up is Game Informer, who asked the two about topics such as connectivity with Pokemon GO, which platform we’ll see the next entry on, stereoscopic 3D, and much more about Sun/Moon specifically. Naturally, the discussion wouldn’t have been complete without a question about Yungoos looking like Donald Trump. You can find a bunch of notable comments below, and the full interview here.

FCC filing points to new Nintendo accessory that could support NFC on both 3DS and mobile
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, General Nintendo, Mobile, News | 9 Comments
Nintendo seems to be working on some sort of new Bluetooth accessory, judging my a new filing with the Federal Communications Commission. It looks fairly similar to the 3DS NFC accessory, but this is an entirely new device (CTR-013). It also supports Bluetooth whereas the 3DS device only has an IR port.
One very strong possibility is that Nintendo is preparing an NFC accessory which will work with smart devices (in addition to 3DS, as the CTR product number appears to be a part of the 3DS line). That would pave the wave for amiibo support on mobile. Of course, it’s only speculation for now.

Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon push the old 3DS to the max
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 50 Comments
Do you remember how Smash Bros. would restart after closing the game on an older 3DS system? Well, now we have another game that operates similarly.
Those who have been playing the Pokemon Sun/Moon demo on older 3DS models (not the New 3DS), noticed that the system fully reboots after it’s been closed. Miiverse is also disabled, and the Home Menu lags while the demo is open.
It just goes to show how many resources Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon require. Of course, if you’re on a New 3DS, you won’t ever run into anything like this.

The Alliance Alive details its world setting, characters, staff, and more
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 2 Comments
We first found out about The Alliance Alive, FuRyu’s new 3DS RPG, through Jump last week. Famitsu follows up with plenty of additional information in this week’s issue. Along with a preview of the game itself, the magazine also spoke with a few developers.
The Alliance Alive should be considered as a new classic RPG. It uses the standards of RPGs while reconstructing the genre with the latest technology.
In The Alliance Alive, the world has been conquered by the Demon Clan for hundreds of years. It’s a world split into a number of zones, each having a unique culture. A story is told about humans who oppose the demon’s domination.
The player controls the protagonist and moves them on a distant field map. The battle system uses Symbol Encounter.
As previously mentioned, there are nine main characters, and all of them are protagonists. They begin their journeys with different plans at first, but everyone will eventually gather and move towards a single goal.
Characters include:
