The latest entry in the Fire Emblem series doesn’t release for another couple of months, and preorders for the Special Edition bundle of Fire Emblem If are already selling out like mad. Luckily, Nintendo plans to replenish the stock and will be sending out another shipment to retailers in due time so more people can get their copy when the game comes out on June 25th in Japan.

What makes the Special Edition bundle of Fire Emblem If so special is it has a two-in-one cartridge that comes with both the White Kingdom and Black Kingdom versions of the game. Along with that, you’ll receive a special trading card for the upcoming Fire Emblem 0 TCG, an art book as well as a third storyline within the game. Just a note, if you plan on getting the game digitally, you’ll be able to decide which route you’d like to take half way through the game as opposed to being predetermined by the cartridge you pick up.

Fire Emblem If is also slated to come out this year in the west. Which side have you chosen?

StreetPass Mii Plaza received a big update today. There are now two new games, the addition of premium content, and the software itself was upgraded.

Kotaku looked into the different changes in StreetPass Mii Plaza following today’s update. The site shares the following:

– When you meet people’s Miis in the StreetPass plaza, you can greatly reduce time-consuming interactions
– You can take StreetPass games you’re not interested in and hide them
– You can rearrange your StreetPass icons
– You can customize the word balloons you use in your StreetPass greetings

Aside from that, if you purchase StreetPass Mii Plaza Premium, you can collect people’s birthdays, turn some Miis into VIPs so that they never get cleared from your system, and listen to StreetPass Plaza music even when your system is closed.

We’re still waiting on the March 2015 NPD chart, but Nintendo has already delivered its response for the month.

Several statistics were highlighted in the new press release. According to the company, sales for Nintendo hardware systems thus far in 2015 “have increased by nearly 60 percent over sales during the same time frame in 2014.”

Other than that, we know that Mario Party 10 sold close to 290,000 copies in its first two weeks on the U.S. market, cumulative Smash Bros. Wii U and Mario Kart 8 sales are at 1.6 million and 1.9 million units respectively, and more.

Head past the break for today’s full announcement and sales data.

Pre-loading functionality has been out on Wii U for quite awhile now, but we’ve yet to see the feature be fully utilized on 3DS. In Japan, Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. is the first 3DS game to take advantage of pre-loading. But what about the west?

Nintendo’s website indicates that Puzzle & Dragons Z + Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition will in fact allow for pre-loading. Consumers can purchase a code, and we assume it can then be used to grab most of the game’s data before launch.

3DS owners in Europe can head to a local Nintendo Zone to obtain a new theme in honor of International StreetPass Week. Sadly, I don’t believe it’s being offered in North America!
