During a financial results briefing, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa discussed plans to continue growing Switch as the console heads into its sixth year.

Furukawa stated out by highlighting the different ways that the system can be played before talking about the OLED model, which is doing well so far. Some are replacing their older devices while others are jumping in for the first time. Finally, Nintendo will be releasing big games in 2022 such as Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. Switch has also seen an all-time high for third-party games on a Nintendo platform as there are over 6,700 games from these publishers through September 2021.

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has discussed the age of annual playing users on Switch. This comes as part of a briefing that was held for the company’s financial results today.

Furukawa started out by showing the graph above, “which is quite varied” and shows “diversity in the frequency of gameplay and the number of titles purchased.” We also see that “consumers continue to play Nintendo Switch in ways that fit their lifestyle.”

Shin Megami Tensei V is almost here, and Atlus is getting ready with a couple of newly-published commercials. Two adverts have been prepared for the company’s Japanese audience.

NERF Legends blasters

GameMill is back with a new trailer for Nerf Legends – its upcoming first-person shooter inspired by Hasbro’s toy line – with a look at the game’s officially licensed blasters. Doomlands The Judge, Ultra One, Mega Centurion, and Elite 2.0 Shockwave are among the featured weapons.

Here’s some additional information about NERF Legends:

Like many other pieces of technology, Nintendo has been impacted when it comes to Switch and the console’s production. Yesterday we heard that the company will be making 20 percent fewer units due to the ongoing chip shortage. Despite issues with production though, Nintendo won’t be favoring one type of Switch model over the other.

The Switch OLED is Nintendo’s hot new thing at the moment having just launched last month. However, president Shuntaro Furukawa stated today during a financial results briefing that resources won’t be limited to that version only as its other two variations – including the original and Switch Lite “cater to different needs”.

Furukawa stated:

Magic Potion Millionaire has shot its way to Switch (pun intended). New gameplay is now available, with this new video containing 17 minutes of direct footage.

Here’s what we know about Magic Potion Millionaire:

The 1.1.7 update has been made available for the rhythm game MUSYNX on Switch.  For something that seems insignificant on the surface, this update is quite the meaty one with new songs and more!

Next Space Rebels release date

Next Space Rebels, a story driven simulation game from publisher Humble Games and developer Studio Floris Kaayk, has a final release date. The two sides announced today that it will be available for Switch on November 17.

Next Space Rebels was announced for Switch back in June. It had a vague 2021 release window at the time.
