Publisher Taito and developer Natsume Atari have announced a sequel to the 1992 shoot-em-up KiKi KaiKai: Nazo no Kuro Mantle, KiKi KaiKai: Kuro Mantle no Nazo. The original KiKi KaiKai: Nazo no Kuro Mantle, known as Pocky & Rocky in the West, was available on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game is a sequel, not a remake, but it features improved graphics over the original while maintaining the 16-bit style. It is being developed by Tengo Project, a team within Natsume Atari.
Tengo Project has made several sequels to action games from the 1990s, all of which were localized to the West, so it is likely that this may also be the case for this Pocky & Rocky sequel. No release window has been announced yet.

Nintendo has provided a new look at Super Mario Galaxy on Switch from Super Mario 3D All-Stars. It’s not much, but we do have a bit of footage below.
To further clarify controls on Switch, you won’t be forced to use any sort of motion controls to spin. On Wii, you needed to shake the Wii Remote to perform that move. This is still possible on Switch with the right Joy-Con, but you can now spin with the “Y” button as well.

Nintendo has updated Jump Rope Challenge again, bringing the eShop download to version 1.2.0.
Today’s patch primarily includes two new elements. First, there’s now a results screen to look back on your progress after you’ve completed 100 days. It’s also possible to reset your results and start a second cycle after the same 100-day mark.
Other than that, there’s the standard line about fixing a number of issues to make for a pleasant playing experience.
