Mad Rat Dead

Earlier today, Nippon Ichi Software released a demo for Mad Rat Dead on the Japanese Switch eShop. View some footage below.

Mad Rat Dead is slated for Switch on October 29 in Japan, followed by October 30 in North America and Europe.

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl were among the many games included in the latest Nintendo leaks. A number of builds have been unearthed, with the earliest one going back to March 14, 2006, which is more than five months before the final release.

Twitter Lewchube has been rounding up the many discoveries on Twitter. They include a possible father figure, a potential different type pairing for Turtwig, graphical changes, different area layouts, and more.

Paper Mario: The Origami King

Around the release of Paper Mario: The Origami King, we heard from producer Kensuke Tanabe that the team is no longer able to modify Mario characters or make original characters that extend to the Mario universe. Tanabe has now commented on the situation further as part of an interview with GamesRadar.

Tanabe mentioned that the developers can’t “graphically represent individual characteristics” like age and gender when it comes to the Toad NPCs. He added that writer Taro Kudo “has been grappling with this difficult challenge since Paper Mario: Sticker Star”.

Fight Crab

A new launch trailer is in for the action game Fight Crab. Take a look at the video below.

Fight Crab is due out for Switch in Japan on August 20, followed by North America and Europe on September 15.

RogueCube

In partnership with Bipolar Dawn, Ratalakia Games has announced that it’s bringing the roguelike shooter RogueCube to Switch next week. It’s expected on August 7 via the eShop.

Fuga: Melodies of Steel

As part of a recent Q&A with CyberConnect2 president Hiroshi Matsuyama, an update was provided on the company’s “Trilogy of Vengeance” games.

Fuga: Melodies of Steel, which was first announced at the very start of 2018, “good news” should be coming soon. As for Tokyo Ogre Gate and Cecile, development hasn’t actually started yet.

The Ryuo's Work is Never Done!

Retailer listings have revealed that Entergram’s The Ryuo’s Work is Never Done! will be available for Switch in Japan on November 26.

The main release will cost 7,700 yen. For 11,000 yen, fans can obtain a limited edition featuring a Shirow Shiratori-illustrated Ginko Sora changing clothes B2 tapestry, and a The Ryuo’s Work is Never Done! portable shogi set.

Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy will be out on Switch sometime this winter.

The narrative adventure game Metamorphosis will be out for Switch on August 12, All In! Games has announced. It’ll be sold digitally via the eShop.

Here’s some information about Metamorphosis as well as a trailer:

Dr. Lemmy has been announced as the latest character for Dr. Mario World. He’ll be going live on July 29 at 11 PM PT / July 30 at 2 AM ET.

New stages are also being added as part of this week’s content update. A teaser image for those levels can be found below.
