4Gamer and Famitsu have published new reports on talks Bandai Namco delivered at CEDEC 2019 this past week. Talks during the events involved the art and graphical style, how they kept the file size low, and more.

When Nintendo distributes a major firmware upgrade for Switch, it’s usually accompanied by a Joy-Con update. That is once again the case for version 9.0.0.

You can update your Joy-Con by visiting system settings. Then scroll down to “Controllers and Sensors”, and navigate to “Update Controllers”. The process shouldn’t take more than a few seconds.

Nintendo never actually says what’s included in the controller updates. Still, it doesn’t hurt to carry out the process.

Haven

Famitsu has provided a few minutes of new footage from Haven, an upcoming adventure RPG for Switch. View the gameplay below.

Nintendo has just issued the latest firmware update for Switch. Version 9.0.0 is now live.

Nintendo has previously said that today’s update would include support for the new SNES Switch controllers. It should also address an issue starting Fire Emblem: Three Houses if you purchased the Expansion Pass. New features include Alarm Notifications, Online Play Invites, and more.

Limited Run Games will offer a physical version of Duck Game, the company has announced. Pre-orders go live on September 13.

At this time, a collector’s edition does not appear to be happening. There is a confirmed two-week open pre-order window.

Duck Game is currently available on Switch as a digital download.

Original: Did you purchase the Expansion Pass for Fire Emblem: Three Houses? Are you having trouble starting the game? You’ll be happy to hear that it isn’t an isolated incident, and Nintendo is aware of the issue.

Nintendo has announced that it will distribute the latest system update for Switch later today. It is intended to correct the aforementioned issue.

We’ll report back on when it’s live, and if the update happens to include anything else.

Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest I, II, and III are all coming to Switch in Japan later this month. Fortunately, English support is already confirmed despite the lack of news for the west.

Over in Asia, Square Enix will offer a physical version of all three games. Better yet, the entire package supports English.

Play-Asia has now opened pre-orders on its website here. Copies are expected to ship in October.

Ghost Blade HD will arrive for Switch in October, publisher Eastasiasoft Limited and developers 2Dream Corporation and Hucast Games have announced. A specific date will be provided soon.
