Lode Runner Legacy released on the North American and European Switch eShops, demo also available

Update (3/29): Lode Runner Legacy is out now in North America as well.
Original (3/28): We knew Lode Runner Legacy would be released on Switch this spring in the west. What we didn’t know is that it would be launching today.
On the European eShop, Lode Runner Legacy can be downloaded right now. If that wasn’t enough, a demo is also available. North America should have access soon as well.
Lode Runner Legacy involves collecting all gold in a level and then escaping. Various features and modes are included, such as Craft Mode where you can make your own levels.

Nintendo reveals Japan’s top 50 best-selling games for under 500 yen

Nintendo posted a pretty interesting list for 3DS today. On the Japanese website, we’re able to see the top 50 best-selling games available for under 500 yen.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 update out tomorrow (version 1.3.1)

The next Xenoblade Chronicles 2 update arrives tomorrow, Nintendo has announced. The RPG will be updated to version 1.3.1.
Nintendo says that the next wave of quests from the Expansion Pass will be added to Xenoblade Chronicles 2. We should expect bug fixes as well. We’ll give you a heads up when the update goes live and when we have the full patch notes.

Rising Star Games publishing Little Dragons Café this Summer in Europe

Little Dragons Café, the new Switch game from Harvest Moon creator Yasuhiro Wada, is coming to Europe. Rising Star Games announced today that they will be publishing the game, which has a targeted release window of “Summer”. The game was previously announced for a North American release, where Aksys Games is handling publishing duty.
Splatoon 2: Sorella Brella being added to the game soon

The next new weapon coming to Splatoon 2 is the Sorella Brella. It’s identical to the Splat Brella in terms of stats, but comes with the Autobomb sub-weapon and the Splat Bomb Launcher special instead. It’ll be available on Saturday around noon in Japan and Australia, early in the morning in Europe and Friday night in North America.

Standard physical edition release of Penny-Punching Princess cancelled in the UK

Just one day before launch, NIS America has cancelled the release of the standard edition of Penny-Punching Princess in the UK. The publisher says that they discovered that “the orders for this title would not be able to be fulfilled by their proper release date” and thus they decided to cancel the game’s physical release in the UK entirely.
If you live in the UK, your only option for a physical copy of the game is the Limited Edition, which is available exclusively on the NIS America online store. Otherwise, you will have to buy the game digitally. Note that all of this only applies to the UK – the physical release of the game in other regions has not been affected.

Fire Emblem Heroes – Robin: Fell Vessel Legendary Summoning Focus is live

A new Legendary Summoning Focus is now live. It features 5 star versions of Robin: Fell Vessel, Tiki, Elise, Lucina, Lyn, Sakura, Nowi, Lute, Fjorm, Gunnthrá, Zelgius, and Ike. This summoning focus will be available until April 3rd.
