The latest update for Has-Been Heroes can now be downloaded on Switch. Developer Frozenbyte issued version 1.0.3 today.

The new update adds in some features and fixes as well as improved controller detection on Switch. We’ve posted the full patch notes below.

Another new interview is in with Akihiro Hino. This time, GameSpot is the latest outlet to have spoken with the Level-5 CEO. Topics include potentially bringing past projects to Switch, why Katrielle is the new protagonist of the Layton series (and whether or not she’s really Professor Layton’s daughter), and reminiscing on Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

There’s a little bit of uncertainty surrounding De Mambo’s release date on Switch. It was originally scheduled for this Thursday in all territories, but the official eShop listing now shows a date of July 6. We should be finding out pretty soon if the week delay is happening.

FDG Entertainment published another new blog for Monster Boy. For today’s entry, we’re once again able to see how one of the game’s areas has been completely reworked.

This is what Monster World Village used to look like:

And the new version:

The old version of the inn “looks nice but not refined enough to meet todays standards.” As for the new version, it “shows the new quality level which we aim to reach in all areas of the game.” The developers added: “With 4 years in production, we don’t want to have any drawbacks and finish the game properly so it can shine and impress.”

RPG Maker Fes is officially out today on 3DS. Take a look at the launch trailer from NIS America below.

It wasn’t too long ago that Square Enix and Tokyo RPG Factory announced Lost Sphear. The game was showcased at E3 earlier this month, and Kotaku also conducted an interview with director Atsushi Hashimoto. Hashimoto discussed how the team is making improvements from I Am Setsuna, the game’s length, and having it on Switch.

Playtonic offered up a new status update on the Switch version of Yooka-Laylee today. The 3D platformer is entering testing, and once that’s complete, a release date should be announced “shortly after”. We’re hoping that launch isn’t too far off.

Minecraft is receiving a new update on Switch and Wii U tonight. In conjunction with that, both versions will be undergoing maintenance.

The schedule is as follows:

– 6:50 PM PT (June 27) – 8:30 PM PT (June 27)
– 9:50 PM ET (June 27) – 11:30 PM ET (June 27)
– 2:50 AM in the UK (June 28) – 4:30 AM in the UK (June 28)
– 3:50 AM in Europe (June 28) – 5:30 AM in Europe (June 28)

All network services for Minecraft will be down during the maintenance period.

Sonic Forces

A new Sonic Forces interview has gone up on Nintendo UK’s website. Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka and producer Shun Nakamura participated in the discussion.

We have some highlights from the interview below. Iizuka and Nakamura spoke about how Sonic Forces isn’t a sequel to Sonic Generations, the custom character system, appealing to all types of players with this game and Mania, and fans comparing New Donk City from Super Mario Odyssey to Sonic Adventure.

Gust shared two new videos for Nights of Azure 2. One strictly shows gameplay while the other has event scenes. Both can be found below.
