Nintendo isn’t using any random or in-house engine for the creation of Super Mario Run. Instead, the company went with a well-known tool. As it turns out, Super Mario Run is being made with Unity.

The engine’s official Twitter account shared the news:

Super Mario Run debuts on iOS next month. Nintendo intends to bring it to Android devices at a later date as well.

This week’s Famitsu scans are now available. Highlighted games include Monster Hunter XX, Pokemon Sun/Moon, Saiki Kusuo no Psi-nan: Shijou Psi-dai no Psi-nan!?, and All Kamen Riders: Rider Revolution as well as the cross-over update between Dragon Ball: Extreme Butoden and One Piece: Great Pirate Colosseum. Eurogamer is reporting that Nintendo will be ending production of the Wii U in just a matter of days. If the site is spot on, the production line will close on Friday following the final deadline for orders passed yesterday. That information apparently comes from “multiple sources” speaking with Eurogamer.

Nikkei claimed earlier in the year that Wii U production would cease by the end of 2016. However, Nintendo quickly denied any such plans.

Prior to today, a rumor indicated that European retailers would no longer be able to place orders for Wii U after October 1.

Japan and Europe officially announced the new Animal Crossing Direct earlier today. We now have the same announcement for North America.

The presentation will be airing around the world at the same time. The broadcast will take place at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe.
