Switch getting NBA Playgrounds next month
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch eShop | 6 Comments
NBA Playgrounds, first made known during Nintendo’s Nindies Showcase in February, is arriving on Switch very soon. Saber Interactive intends to have the game ready next month. It’ll cost 20 on the eShop.
NBA Playgrounds has been officially licensed by the NBA. It’s intended to be an arcade-esque experience in line with NBA Street and NBA Jam. Active and retired players are included, as the trailer below shows Allen Iverson going up against the likes of Steph Curry and George Hill.
NBA Playgrounds has every single NBA team. Additionally, the “roster of current and retired” players can be leveled-up. Playgrounds will come with “hundreds of over-the-top dunks and moves.” Single-player local multiplayer, and “against the world” online are in as well.
Saber Interactive CEO Matt Karch says NBA Playgrounds is accessible, but still has “a lot of depth for hardcore pros who’ve mastered their game.”

We’ve included an overview and trailer for Animal Rivals below so that you can see what the title has to offer.
“Animal Rivals is a classic Party Game, but prepared to meet current standards and offer unique gameplay. The players will have a chance to play as different funny animals, that fight for the Animalonia’s throne. Each animal has his own desires and reasons to fight and uses their own way of fighting. But the tournament itself is not easy – contenders need to use their speed, cleverness and intelligence. Animal Rivals is perfect game for 4 players, that love to compete locally, just like in classic party games. It exists to provide players just what they need. Game presents a uniqe art style mixing the cartoonish looks and satire approach. So both the old and young gamers will find something for themselves. Great and healthy competition, challenges and fun are what Animal Rivals is!”

Switch eShop adds “Best Sellers” section
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch eShop | 38 Comments
Following tonight’s maintenance, a new section has been added to the Switch eShop. The digital store now has a “Best Sellers” category (“Charts” in Europe) showing the best-selling games. The information is based on software with the most downloads over the past two weeks.
Initial charts are available for North America, Europe, and Japan. We’ve posted all of the information below (in our case we’re specifically posted the UK charts since Europe’s ranking is set per country), and we’ll be adding these charts to our usual lineup just like Wii U and 3DS.
