One complaint some Switch users have had is the system’s inability to store credit card information on the eShop. Each time something is purchased, you’ve needed to reenter the details. But following some maintenance tonight, this changed.
When buying a digital download, you’ll now have the option to save your credit card information. You’ll see this information under your user profile when it’s stored. Users also have the option to enable / disable password entry for purchases when credit card information has been saved.
Below are a few photos showing the new credit card settings:
Nintendo appears set on improving the Switch eShop and making it more convienent to use, which isn’t too surprising. Last month, the company added in a best sellers chart.

More Plantera DX details emerge, will release outside of Japan
Posted on 8 years ago by Zack in News, Switch eShop | 0 comments
More details and screenshots have emerged regarding the recently announced Plantera DX for Switch, including a confirmation of a western release. Ratalaika Games will bring Plantera DX to the west “later down the line,” possibly as late as the 2017 holiday season. This version of the game is supposedly around three times larger than the 3DS version of the title. New content is included in this version of the game as well, such as new animals and characters, improved graphics and new music.
While the original wording was a bit vague, it seems that Plantera DX will only have limited support for the Switch in TV mode, as the focus on touch screen controls is still present in this version. The content added in Plantera DX is exclusive to the Switch version of the game, and will not be added to the 3DS or Wii U versions of the game.
While Plantera DX isn’t expected to release until the “holiday season” outside of Japan, the Japanese version of the game includes an English translation. If you don’t feel like waiting, you should have little trouble picking it up from the Japanese eShop when it’s released.
You can find new screenshots of the game in the gallery below.

Midnight Status looking to make Swap Fire 2 for Switch
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch eShop | 14 Comments
A couple of months ago, Swap Fire was offered entirely free on the Wii U eShop. This was intentional, as Midnight Status was looking to raise awareness for the game.
The shooter has sold under 500 paid copies on Wii U since its debut. When it was made free though, it was downloaded 20,000 times. Midnight Status isn’t completely done with Swap Fire as another update is planned. At the same time, the indie developer is starting to shift its attention to the future.
By making Swap Fire free, Midnight Status is winning over new fans, some of whom have shown interest in buying the game for Switch. The studio says investors have been impressed, but want market validation for Swap Fire 2 to ensure that it’ll see solid sales on Switch. Midnight Status is therefore planning a “short but sweet” Kickstarter campaign, which if successful, will have its remaining funds sourced from investors.
