Hamster has announced that Chack’n Pop will be this week’s Arcade Archive title releasing on Switch. The game will release tomorrow, on July 21, 2022.

Redout 2 gameplay

South of the Circle release date

11 bit studios and State of Play have set a final release date for South of the Circle, their new narrative experience for Switch. It will be available on August 3, 2022.

South of the Circle was announced for Switch back in August. However, it was not given a release window at the time.

Raji: An Ancient Epic Enhanced Edition update

Nearly a year after its original debut, it’s been announced that Raji: An Ancient Epic is receiving a major Enhanced Edition update on Switch next week – specifically July 28, 2022.

The patch adds new game modes and features, makes improvements, and fixes bugs. Campaign, Story, and One Shot One Kill are the game modes. There are even new variations for all enemy types to encounter.

Aniquilation

Original (7/5): Today, publisher Gamera Games and developer R-Next revealed that they’re putting Aniquilation on Switch. The twin-stick shooter will be available sometime this summer.

Out of nowhere, Nintendo announced Kirby’s Dream Buffet last week as an eShop exclusive. This is a small and cute co-op experience perfect for Kirby. Although it doesn’t happen too often, I appreciate the fact that Nintendo still publishes some smaller games like that on the eShop. Most of the time these experiences show tons of creativity, bringing new ideas to the console.

However, I think a lot of the titles published by Nintendo could receive more attention and promotion. Sometimes I feel that great experiences like Good Job! or The Stretchers get a little lost in the gigantic amount of games published on the eShop. In the video below, I discuss why Nintendo’s overall strategy to promote these games could be more active than it is and I share some ideas as to how they could be in the spotlight a bit more.

Dungeon Slime Collection

Ratalaika Games is putting Dungeon Slime Collection on Switch this week, the company has announced. A release is planned for July 22.

The package features a pair of titles – specifically Dungeon Slime: Puzzle’s Adventure and Dungeon Slime 2: Puzzle in the Dark Forest. The first is a 2D puzzle title while the other is a spectacular puzzle game.
