Switch

During an online ceremony that just wrapped up, all of the winners were announced for the 2021 BAFTA Game Awards. A number of Switch titles were included in the nominees such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Hades, and both titles came out on top in some of the categories.

Tsukihime

Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon, a remake of Tsukihime that was first announced at the very end of 2020, has secured a release date. The latest issue of Type-Moon Ace reveals that it will launch on August 26 in Japan.

Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon will feature completely rewritten text with the volume of each route having been more than doubled. There’s also now the inclusion of a “Arcueid Route” and “Ciel Route” double heroine system. A Piece of Blue Glass Moon will only contain routes for heroines Arcueid and Ciel, which is less than the original, but the ones not included here will appear another time, in “another Tsukihime” that depicts “the other side of the moon.”

Civilization VI

Civilization VI players on Switch can now download the game’s latest update. It contains support for the Portugal Pack, balance adjustments, fixes, and more.

Knockout City

EA and Velan Studios have released a new gameplay trailer for Knockout City, a team-based multiplayer game based featuring dodgeball. Have a look at the video below.

Knockout City launches for Switch on May 21. A cross-play beta will be held between April 2 and April 4.

Ganso Minna de Spelunker

According to retail listings, Tozai Games will be bringing Ganso Minna de Spelunker to Switch. The game launches on July 15 in Japan.

The main game will cost 3,300 yen. For 7,480 yen, fans can pick up a limited edition. It includes the soft vinyl figure (with sound), original soundtrack CD, and cave exploration guidebook with maps of every stage.

Melty Blood: Type Lumina

Melty Blood: Type Lumina is in the works and will be released on Switch, the latest issue of Type-Moon Ace reveals. It will launch in 2021.

Melty Blood first started in 2002 as a fighter and visual novel hybrid. French-Bread is again handling development for Type Lumina.

ININ Games has shared the first teaser trailer for Clockwork Aquario, a previously lost arcade game from Wonder Boy creator Ryuichi Nishizawa that’s now returning on Switch. View it below.

Ninjala Season 5

GungHo has shared a new Ninjala to promote the start of Season 5, which just started today. Have a look at today’s video below.

Leoful and Upfall Studios have announced a new partnership on a physical version of the turn-based dungeon crawler Quest of Dungeons, which will be happening in Asia. All copies will include a reversible cover with never-seen-before artwork.

Pre-orders begin on March 26. The game itself will be available on April 13.

Etherborn

iam8bit, has teamed up with developer Altered Matter and publisher Akupara Games, on a physical version of Etherborn. The gravity-bending puzzle game will be sold in boxed form, which comes with an O-sleeve, reversible cover art, and a fold-out poster.

Pre-orders open today through iam8bit at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Copies should ship sometime in Q2 2021.
