Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to host tournament all about stars

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will soon be kicking off a star-related tournament. That means you’ll only see items like the Star Rod and Super Launch Star.
The new tournament goes live on January 1, 2021. It’ll last for a total of three days.
Nintendo reveals the best-selling indie games of 2020 on Switch

In a new video published today, Nintendo revealed the best-selling indie games of 2020 on Switch. A number of heavy hitters are present, including Hades, Streets of Rage 4, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, Bloostained: Curse of the Moon 2, and more.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial will be offered in Europe as well

Yesterday, a new Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial was announced for Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. Nintendo only shared news for North America at the time, but we now have confirmation that Europe will be gaining access as well.
As previously mentioned, the Game Trial will allow Nintendo Switch Online members to play Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled entirely free for a week. You’ll be able to access all content, including local and online multiplayer.
Like North America, the Game Trial for Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled will be offered in Europe between December 30 and January 5.
Ghostrunner physical pre-orders open

Ghostrunner is currently only available in digital form. However, in Asia and Japan, a physical version will soon be offered.
You can pre-order Ghostrunner’s physical release on Play-Asia here. A number of languages are supported, including English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean. All copies work on any Switch device you have regardless of region.
Ghostrunner is due out physically on January 28, 2021.
Amazon reveals its top ten best-selling games of 2020

As we close out 2020, Amazon has revealed its top ten best-selling games of the year. We have two sets of rankings: one for the U.S. and another for the UK.
There are some similarities with both charts, as Animal Crossing: New Horizons was the top seller on each. Super Mario 3D All-Stars is also on both lists.

Nintendo Switch Online members can play Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled for free for a week starting December 30

The next Game Trial has been revealed for the Nintendo Switch Online service. In just a couple of days, members can try out the full game for an entire week, including local and online multiplayer. Save data will transfer to the full version.
The trial for Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled goes live on December 30 at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET. It’ll last until January 5 at 11:59 PM PT / January 6 at 2:59 AM ET.
Resident Evil 7 composer in charge of Monster Hunter Rise’s music

Since Monster Hunter Rise was announced, many fans have been wondering about the game’s music. Capcom has now revealed that Satoshi Hori is the main composer.
Hori has been with Capcom for a few years, but his most recent and notable project was Resident Evil 7.
As one interesting note, we’ve also learned today that Capcom will be adding chorus to all songs even existing monster songs.
Monster Hunter Rise launches for Switch on March 26, 2021.
