Square Enix announced that Dragon Quest I, II, and III are all coming to Switch in Japan later this month. Fortunately, English support is already confirmed despite the lack of news for the west.

Over in Asia, Square Enix will offer a physical version of all three games. Better yet, the entire package supports English.

Play-Asia has now opened pre-orders on its website here. Copies are expected to ship in October.

Ghost Blade HD will arrive for Switch in October, publisher Eastasiasoft Limited and developers 2Dream Corporation and Hucast Games have announced. A specific date will be provided soon.

Here’s a brief overview and trailer for the game:

XSEED Games and Marvelous have unveiled the Rune Factory 4 Special “Archival Edition”, which will be released in both North America and Europe. The package, which includes the game and extra goodies, will go for $59.99.

Here’s an overview as to what’s featured in the Rune Factory 4 Special “Archival Edition”:

Nintendo has already dabbled with VR for Switch through Nintendo Labo. However, the company may have other ideas in mind for the technology, judging by a new patent.

Back in February 2018, Nintendo filed a patent for a “3D image display system and 3D image display device”. It was just published last month – specifically August 22.

Snack World

Level-5’s Snack World franchise has so far been exclusive to Japan. However, we’ve known for a while now that the company plans to release it in the West as well. Back in April, Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold received an age rating in Australia; this is likely the English title of The Snack World: Trejarers Gold, which came out in Japan for Nintendo Switch in 2018. Then, in May, Level-5 officially confirmed that they would bring the Snack World franchise to the West in 2020.

Today, Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold received another age rating, this time by the ESRB for the North American market. The game received a Teen rating for “Fantasy Violence, Mild Language and Suggestive Themes”. At this point, all that’s left is an official announcement from Level-5.
