The latest item distribution has gone live in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Switch. If you’ve subscribed to the official news channel on the system, you should be seeing a message from director Hidemaro Fujibayashi.

One specific item is being distributed this time around, and it’s a fairly useful one. You’ll get your hands on a Fire Rod upon starting the game. Look for it in a treasure chest as soon as you load up your save file.

WWE 2K18

Since the week that WWE 2K18 was announced for Switch, 2K has only committed to a general “Fall 2017” release. However, some had hoped that it would be out later this month alongside other platforms. This was somewhat due to marketing materials that surfaced at stores over the past few days pointing to the Switch edition possible landing on October 17.

For its part, the “Fall 2017” release window still sticks. 2K is not giving a more specific launch timing beyond that.

The latest episode of Nintendo’s Japanese show Nyannyan Neko Mario Time has now gone live. We’ve included it below.

On the latest episode of Fragments of Silicon, Kai Tuovinen from Frozenbyte was interviewed. Tuovinen was asked about the already-released Has-Been Heroes as well as Nine Parchments.

To begin, Tuovinen indicated that Has-Been Heroes has been selling the best on Switch. Tuovinen didn’t share any specific numbers, though that was in part due to since he didn’t have any information on-hand. Switch’s small library could have played a role in the strong performance, but the fact that people were interested in the game and were giving it a shot was encouraging.

At CEDEC 2017 last month, Nintendo held a presentation dedicated to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It focused on approach to development and behind the scenes creation from a technical standpoint. It’s not the sort of thing that you’re normally able to hear about it, but it was pretty darn interesting.

Matt Walker combed through everything that was shared at the presentation and shared a summary on Twitter. We’ve rounded up all of the notable tweets below.
