A Space for the Unbound physical

Original (8/7): Serenity Forge and Mojiken today announced a new physical release for A Space for the Unbound on Switch. A release is planned for Q1 2024.

Two versions are planned: standard and collector’s edition. Here’s what’s included in each of the A Space for the Unbound physical editions:

Xtreme Sports Switch release date

Original (6/28): Three years after it was originally announced, the Switch version of Xtreme Sports has secured a release date. WayForward just announced that it’s scheduled for August 10, 2023.

Xtreme Sports originally debuted on the Game Boy Color. The action-sports-RPG features five events including surfing, skyboarding, and street luge.

Red Dead Redemption price

Take-Two Interactive has now commented directly on the price of the just-announced Switch version of Red Dead Redemption.

The game will cost $50 physically and digitally, which some people aren’t happy about. While it received a good amount of acclaim back in the day, when the title comes to Switch (and PS4), it’ll be more straightforward compared to the usual remasters and remakes we’ve been seeing these days. On top of that, multiplayer won’t be included.

A new buy 1, get 1 free sale for August 2023 is now live at GameStop, and a number of first-party and third-party Switch games are included.

From titles Nintendo has published, highlights include Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, Metroid Dread, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Third-party offerings include Hades, Persona 5 Strikers, and No More Heroes 3.

Virche Evermore: ErroR:salvation release date

Virche Evermore: ErroR:salvation has secured a release date in the west. Aksys Games will publish the title on November 9, 2023, the company announced today.

Smash Bros Wii U 3DS development

Masahiro Sakurai uploaded his latest video on YouTube a short while ago, and this time around, we get to hear about the making of Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U.

Late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata asked Sakurai to handle development, and he was certainly up to the task of developing two versions at the same time. Smash hadn’t been released on a portable system previously which would be unique, but its power would put a bit of a limit on the game. Meanwhile, Wii U’s power and HD output would be the main appeal. Thankfully, some of the work was made easier since the two versions could share mechanics, animation, and game balance.
