A recent interview with Famitsu reveals that the Depths for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom “were made in a surprisingly short period of time.”
That comes from director Hidemaro Fujibayashi. The initial area’s development came together quickly, though he did acknowledge that “it took a long time and many adjustments for it to take its present shape”.

Original (6/24): Nintendo has posted new character art for Super Mario Bros. Wonder, showcasing Mario himself as well as Daisy and other aspects highlighted in the first trailer.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder will have several playable characters, including Daisy. Another new aspect shown off for the side-scrolling platformer is the series’ newest power-up, which lets Mario transform into Elephant Mario – that’s one of the new art pieces as well. Something else that’s different is the Wonder Flower that flips the game on its head – pipes could come alive, hordes of enemies may appear, characters might change their looks, and more.

[Rapid Review] Fresh Start

System: Switch
Release date: September 14, 2023
Developer: Awaken Realms
Publisher: Merge Games
Growing up, I never really believed that cleaning up could be a game. That was just a painfully transparent lie that my parents (no doubt inspired by Mary Poppins) told me in some effort to get me to tidy up, even knowing as I did that it was only going to get messed up again within five minutes. But as I grew older I learned that there was something very satisfying and rewarding about accomplishing a simple task, and Merge Games’ latest title, Fresh Start, aims to capitalize on that feeling through its cozy and relaxing gameplay. While it succeeds admirably on that front, it could have used a little more cleaning and polishing before it was brought over to the Switch, and the end result is a muddied experience that is tough to recommend.

Have you been curious as to how the team behind Detective Pikachu Returns decided which Pokemon to include? Director Yasunori Yanagisaw recently shared insight during an interview with ComicBook.
Many Pokemon will appear in Detective Pikachu Returns, but some will factor into the gameplay itself. For example, Growlithe lets players follow scents, Darmanitan can smash rocks, and Luxray is able to peer through walls. But many additional Pokemon will appear in the environments players can explore.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder pre-order bonus guide

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is expected to be one of Nintendo’s biggest Switch games of 2023, and we’re putting together a post to keep track of all pre-order details including bonus information. If retailers are planning any offers, we should be hearing about that closer to the official release later in the year.
If we’re strictly talking about the brand new side-scrolling games, the Super Mario Bros. series has been missing since New Super Mario Bros. U on Wii U – unless you count the Luigi U DLC or Switch port. It’s been described as an “evolution.” The hook this time around are Wonder Flowers, which mix things up by changing certain things like having pipes come alive. Also new is the Elephant Mario power-up and the inclusion of Daisy as a playable character.
