The latest Japanese hardware sales from Famitsu are as follows:

Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key has received a new version 1.3.0 update.

A couple of new additions are available – specifically the Maximum Difficulty and ability to change in-game music. Several fixes have been implemented as well.

The Rumble Fish 2 update 3.0

The Rumble Fish 2 has received a new version 3.0 update, and it’s a big one.

New features and content are included here.  These include match recording, an assist mode for beginners, enemy dodge settings, and more.

Atelier Ryza 3 Fatal Frame Mask Lunar Eclipse sales

Original (4/24): In its latest financial report for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023, Koei Tecmo shared sales data for two of its more recent games – specifically Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key and Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse.

The latest addition to the Atelier Ryza series has now sold over 290,000 copies. Meanwhile, Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse sold more than 120,000 units. Both figures are based on sales across all platforms.

Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key, which debuted on March 23, 2023 in Japan and March 24 worldwide, is currently available on Switch. Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, which released on March 9, is also available on the platform now.

Update (4/27): Koei Tecmo has now announced that total shipments and digital sales have surpassed 300,000 units worldwide. Additionally, it It is the fastest selling title in the Secret subseries.

Inspector Gadget: Mad Time Party

Publisher Microids and developer Smart Tale Games have announced Inspector Gadget: Mad Time Party, which is coming to Switch. It’s due out in Fall 2023.

Inspector Gadget: Mad Time Party is a party game supporting up to four players, and it promises to “immerse you in the iconic world of Inspector Gadget.” It’ll be possible to stroll through the environments of the original series, meet characters like Chief Quimby, Penny or the M.A.D. agents, and use gadgets to fight the M.A.D. forces.

Master Detective Archives Amaterasu Corporation Peacekeepers

Spike Chunsoft today released a new trailer for the lucid-noir detective adventure Master Detective Archives: Rain Code that introduces members of the Amaterasu Corporation Peacekeepers.

Here’s a quick refresher on the game:

Alien: Isolation physical

It’s taken quite some time, but Alien: Isolation is finally receiving the physical treatment on Switch.

Alongside the standard version, there’ll be a couple of special editions. With the VHS Classic Edition, buyers will receive a VHS-style box and slipcover alongside a steelbook and copy of the game. Also planned is the Collection Collector’s Edition featuring the VHS Classic Edition contents, plus a poster, soundtrack, and model of the Sevastopol Space Station.

Minecraft SpongeBob

Original (6/30): Minecraft isn’t slowing down on its collaborations, and it’s now been revealed that the game is teaming up with SpongeBob SquarePants from Nickelodeon.

So far it’s been confirmed that Mojang Studios has looked to replicate iconic locations from the show, including Bikini Bottom and the well-known houses of the characters. And speaking of characters, it looks like we can expect to see SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Sandy, Mr. Krabs, Plankton, and Gary. There’s even a story in which everyone is trying to have the best day ever, and you’re trying to help them. One part of it involves crafting an instrument for Squidward, who wants to perform at the Oyster Stage.

Totally Spies game

A new game is in development based on the Totally Spies animated series, Microids announced today. A release is planned for 2024.

That’s all we have to go on at the moment. Microids says the game will be appearing on consoles, which should include Switch given the company’s support of the system – all of its offerings end up there.

Totally Spies originally debuted in 2001. After ending about a decade ago, the show is now making a comeback with a new season in 2024.
