Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night dev partners with 505 Games

The developers of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night are indeed working with a publisher, but not with Deep Silver as previously thought. 505 Games is being brought in to assist the team as work on the project kicks into full gear. The company will also be able to handle the publishing-side of things.
Creator Koji Igarashi explained the move in a new video shared by 505:
“For our development of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, 505 Games will be working with us. Although we have started this project through Kickstarter, we wanted more people to play now that we are in full production. However, we believe this isn’t possible with our power alone. We are so grateful that a publisher with a vast marketing power such as 505 Games will be working with our small production team. Now that we cannot let everyone down, let’s work harder to develop Bloodstained together.”

Zelda: Wind Waker Easter egg lets you defeat one of the bosses right away with an unconventional item

In The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, the Forest Water is primarily used to heal Withered Forest Trees during an early part of the game. However, YouTube user Fish_waffle64 recently came across another usage: to essentially kill one of the game’s bosses instantly.
The Kalle Demos boss fight is normally a battle that would take the average player several minutes to complete. But if you use the Forest Water after exposing its core with the boomerang, it’ll go down right away.
Here’s a look:
What’s amazing about this is that the Easter egg works in the original Wind Waker on GameCube as well as the HD version on Wii U. That means, technically, the opportunity for it to be spread widely online has been there for years. It doesn’t really seem like something that’s really been publicized though!
Thanks to Jake for the tip.

Lots of Zelda talk, Breath of the Wild, original planning documents at 30th anniversary concert in Japan

This past weekend, Nintendo hosted a special 30th anniversary Zelda concert in Kyoto, Japan. It was a big event as key staff involved with the series were present – Shigeru Miyamoto, Eiji Aonuma, Takashi Tezuka, and Koji Kondo. Famitsu shared an in-depth report of what occurred and what was said.
Voice actress Ruriko Aoki hosted the concert. She was actually planning on buying a ticket for the event in Nagoya, and even asked her agency to free up her schedule. However, she was eventually told that she got the job for this concert. Series producer Eiji Aonuma also appeared and introduced Aoki. The two showed up together during a Niconico Majora’s Mask 3D live stream last year, and since she’s a big fan of Zelda, he asked her to be the MC.

Easter egg in new LEGO Dimensions pack pokes fun at Ghostbusters movie controversy
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 14 Comments
Warner Bros. released a bunch of new LEGO Dimensions packs last week, including one based on Ghostbusters. Eurogamer has now come across an entertaining Easter egg relating to the film.
Before the new Ghostbusters movie hit theaters, it saw quite the fan backlash. Some people weren’t happy that the franchise was receiving a new film, as they felt the original two films were fine as is. Others weren’t pleased that the team was changed from all male to all female.
In LEGO Dimensions’ new pack, writer and director Paul Feig is hiding in the first level. After unlocking him from a cupboard, he says: “I wonder if they’d be mad if I remade ‘Back to the Future’.” That’s incredibly unlikely to happen, though Feig has joked about remaking Back to the Future as a way of having fun with some of the Ghostbusters internet trolls.
