Rocksteady on Batman: Arkham Knight’s Wii U absence

Warner Bros. brought two Batman: Arkham games to Wii U, but the series’ latest entry – Arkham Knight – will not be available on Nintendo’s platform. Fans may be curious as to why that is.
Rocksteady’s Dax Ginn did provide an answer of sorts while speaking with NowGamer. He told the site, “We have to make our technology choices specifically with reference to the gameplay objectives that we want, so we choose the platforms that are going to give us that.”
Dragon Quest X has sold over one million copies

Square Enix’s Yosuke Saito took to Twitter earlier today and announced an impressive sales figure for Dragon Quest X. Since launch, the game has sold over one million copies in Japan, the producer confirmed. That number should account for all platforms – Wii U, Wii, PC, and Android.

Bandai Namco recently unleashed a new wave of Kamen Rider II: Battride War II details. You can find them rounded up below.
– Features many of the movie edition Kamen Riders
– Chronicle mode: main story mode
– Prologue of the mode takes place at Ieyasu Castle
– This is the same place from Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle
– Story begins when Kamen Rider Gaim, Baron, and Ryugen wander into a mysterious room located in the castle
– Bujin Gaim will be doing everything he can to get in the way of Gaim and the others
– Kamen Rider Gaim will be busting out with his different “Arms” abilities to take on foes
– Gaim will be able to use his Sonic Arrow attack, and finish up with some powerful slashes if enemies get too close
– Kamen Rider Baron will also be there to smash enemies with his Banana and Mango Arms
– Baron and Gaim will be going at it in the midst of Chronicle mode’s story
– Ryuki will have the ability be able to change to his “Ryuki Survive” form
– He’ll also be able to fight together with his Dragranzer summon
– Faiz can pull off powerful tag-team moves with Auto Vajin
– He’ll also be able change to his Blaster Form, which will be effective against all nearby enemies

Sonic Lost World getting Zelda crossover DLC tomorrow, first footage

Remember how Nintendo president Satoru Iwata teased Zelda DLC for Sonic Lost World during a Nintendo Direct presentation in December? Well, now it’s a reality.
Starting tomorrow, Sonic Lost World players on Wii U can download a new Zelda zone for free. You can find footage above and a few details below.
– Available for free
– Called “The Legend of Zelda Zone”
– Mini-adventure
– Departure from the fast pace of Sonic Lost World
– Sonic is decked out in Link’s green tunic
– Hyrule Castle in the background comes from Twilight Princess
– Stalfos are from Ocarina of Time
– Link rides by on a Loftwing from Skyward Sword at one point
– Sonic can explore a miniature dungeon
– Heart containers, other surprises
– Hyrule field is an open area
– Dungeon is more straightforward
– The tube-like design resembles the speedy stages we’ve played in Sonic Lost World
– It all funnels into a few large rooms, and it’s lined with rows of rupees to collect and rolling Gorons to avoid
– Rupees you earn are converted into freed animals at the end of the stage
– No time limitations
– Can run around, explore, complete small challenges in any order
– Rings are noticeably absent and replaced by a heart meter
– Sonic doesn’t wield a Master Sword or Hylian Shield
– Uses same abilities from Lost World
