As expected, Watch_Dogs’ Wii U version isn’t too comparable to its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One counterparts from a graphical perspective. Still, Ubisoft has said “it’s a beautiful game on Wii U.”
Ubisoft Montreal creative director Jonathan Morin shared the comment while speaking with CVG. Morin reconfirmed that the Wii U version does look better than current-gen versions, but isn’t quite up to the next-gen release.
He said:
“I would say the Wii U version is pretty much in between what the current gen is and what the next gen is from a version standpoint. It’s hard to position it. I would tend to say it’s maybe a bit closer to current gen than next gen for certain things but it’s a beautiful game on Wii U and it’s cool to play it just on the GamePad.”
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has once again responded to a question regarding the possibility of the company releasing games on smartphones.
Iwata made the comment during an interview session held at B Dash Camp 2013 Fall in Osaka with Hitotsubashi University professor Nobuo Sayama.
Tetsuya Sanada, president of KLab, was present at the interview. He said, “Smartphones and tablets are spreading so rapidly. Is there any chance that Nintendo will expand into the smartphone business with content of its own?” In response, Iwata replied, “I don’t know how long I’ll be president of Nintendo, but I can tell you this. Not at this time.”

Dedicated server support for Call of Duty: Ghosts isn’t just limited to the Xbox One, which had been confirmed previously. It sounds like all other platforms are being included in the mix – including Wii U… maybe.
Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin confirmed on Twitter that dedicated servers “will be used on current gen, next gen and PC”. He wrote:
GHOSTS ONLINE CONNECTIVITY UPDATE: I wanted to give a quick update on some of the work that has been done to improve everyone’s online experience. We’ve already mentioned dedicated servers as part of the overall plan to improve connectivity. Dedicated servers will be used on current gen, next gen and PC with Ghosts. And, in order to make sure that people have the best possible experience regardless of platform, location or connection, Ghosts will be using a hybrid system of dedicated servers and listen servers. So no matter where you are the game will always be trying to give you the best online performance possible. There is also some great new tech in the matchmaking system that will place players in matches that have the best combined overall connectivity performance. Again these are just some of the things that are going into Call of Duty: Ghosts to give players a great online experience. Can’t wait to see you all online.
So I’m assuming Wii U is included here. But honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t…
