Former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has said that he thought Nintendo Labo would be a bigger success than it turned out to be.

Speaking with CNET, Reggie noted that the product line “did well” globally. However, it seems Nintendo had higher expectations.

Back in 2019, Studio MDHR confirmed Cuphead for physical release. At the time though, the developer said it was waiting for The Delicious Last Course to wrap up development so that everything could be included on the cartridge.

We’re obviously well past 2019 at this point and the new DLC is almost here. Thankfully, Studio MDHR’s original plans haven’t changed. Executive producer and studio director Maja Moldenhauer reconfirmed to Nintendo Everything recently that the physical release is still in the cards for Switch, and more information will be shared “in the coming months”.

Marmalade Game Studio has issued a launch trailer for Jumanji: The Curse Returns, which came out on Switch this week. It serves as another look at the digital board game.

We have more information about Jumanji: The Curse Returns in the overview below:

Publisher Bandai Namco and LEGO Games, along with developer Red Games, today unveiled the final release date for LEGO Brawls. We have confirmation that it’ll be ready to go for Switch on September 2, 2022.

LEGO Brawls was confirmed for Switch back in February and was originally planned for June. It was then announced in May that the game would be out in late summer instead.

Oxide Room 104 made it to Switch this week, and new gameplay has shown off the “bone-chilling single-player body-horror game set inside an old motel.” A half hour of gameplay has come in.

You can find some additional information about the title below.

As much as big, cinematic games tend to steal the show around this time of year, perhaps the most interesting game I played at Summer Game Fest this year was A Little to the Left. It’s a quaint, tactile puzzle game about arranging and straightening everyday household objects. The title is a passion project for Max Inferno, a two-person studio that has been developing the game for a little over a year now.

During LEGO CON today, new products were revealed for the LEGO Super Mario line with Character Packs Series 5 having just been announced.

Eight more figures are on the way. The lineup includes Nabbit, Purple Toad, Hammer Bro, Waddlewing, Toady, Baby Yoshi, Red Yoshi, and Blue Shy Guy.

Here’s the official description for Packs Series 5:

The NES Classic Edition, a miniature replica of the NES with thirty games, came out in 2016 followed by a SNES version the following year. Some have hoped that Nintendo could try out something similar with other systems like the N64 or even the Game Boy, but we haven’t seen anything like that. Former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime believes we won’t see anything like it again.

Reggie was asked about the possibility of more miniature systems while speaking with CNET. In his view, it’s not something Nintendo will revisit. Reggie believes Nintendo should instead pursue more N64 titles for Nintendo Switch Online as well as the addition of GameCube and Wii.
