As part of the Talking Games with Reggie & Harold podcast available to those that donated to the New York Videogame Critics Circle nonprofit’s mentoring work, former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime spoke about what his last days were like with the company.

Before that final day, Reggie and his wife went into the office to clean up and pack a few items. Knowing how it would be “an emotional time,” he wanted it to be just the two of them. Reggie took some photos with items in his office, and those were some of the first pictures shared on his new Twitter account – which had an estimated 300,000 followers within the first day or two of his account opening.

Nintendo doesn’t have a whole lot planned for Zelda’s 35th anniversary, but 2021 does include one notable release. Skyward Sword HD, which first released on Wii in 2011, has returned on Switch. Nintendo has made some additions and changes like button controls, an enhanced frame rate, optional help from Fi, and even camera controls.

When Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 was announced for Switch, Activision said that Vicarious Visions was behind the port. However, it turns out that another company actually did most of the heavy lifting.

Turn Me Up Games recently confirmed that it handled the Switch version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2. The company has plenty of porting experience having previously worked on Borderlands 1 and 2, Journey to the Savage Planet, and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons for the console.

Cross-play and cross-save support is coming to Warframe, Digital Extremes announced today. Switch users will be able to play with those on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC. Progress can also be moved across platforms.

Sheldon Carter, chief operating officer at Digital Extremes, said of today’s news:

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD has launched around the world, and My Nintendo is celebrating with a couple of rewards. Two new wallpapers have been added to the site. We have a look at both designs in this post.

When Hot Wheels Unleashed arrives on Switch later this year, there will be a few different versions to choose from. There’s a standard release with just the game, a special edition for retail, and two more digital editions.
