Exploding Kittens, a multiplayer card game, saw massive popularity on Kickstarter several years ago. It generated nearly $9 million, making it one of the most funded projects on the crowdfunding platform.
That same game has now found its way to Switch. There was no prior announcement from the team regarding a release on Nintendo’s console, but Exploding Kittens is live on the eShop right now. It comes with the Streaking Kittens, Party Pack, and Betrayal Pack expansions as well as exclusive cards and illustrations by The Oatmeal.

Neopets, a virtual pet experience that has been around for over two decades, may end up on Switch. Brand manager Stephanie Lord told The Washington Post that the company is considering bringing the IP over to the console. Additional information wasn’t shared, but the move would be “to modernize the product and expand its audience.”
The Neopets website opened its doors in 1999. There have been a few attempts at using the IP on dedicated consoles, such as Neopets Puzzle Adventure, which released on Wii and DS back in 2008. However, there have been no console games in recent years. It’s also unclear what form Neopets would take on Switch.
Milestone has issued a new Hot Wheels Unleashed trailer that shows off the first actual gameplay. Have a look at the video below.

Bandai Namco has shared details on the third DLC drop for Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions. Three new characters will be added: Pepe, Xiao Junguang. and Taichi Nakanishi.

Over in Asia, it’s been confirmed that the upcoming Legend of Mana remaster for Switch will be receiving a physical release. Even better, it will support English.
This is the only retail version of the game so far that is confirmed to come with an English language option. Legend of Master will only be distributed digitally in North America and Europe.
Play-Asia is taking pre-orders for the physical version of Legend of Mana here. Copies should ship on June 24.
Last year, Microids and IMPS announced a new publishing deal based The Smurfs. It was said at the time that a game was in the works developed by OSome Studio. Today, Microids shared a more proper reveal.
The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf has been announced, and it’s coming to Switch. It will launch later this year.
Based on last year’s announcement, The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf will offer “a brand new story” with “tons of humor, thrills, friendship, suspense and of course, a lot of action.” The 3D adventure platformer will have players saving the village and forest from series antagonist Gargamel.
ININ Games and Studio Artdink have debuted a new “Welcome to Monster World” trailer for Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World. Get a look at the video below.
Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World is slated for April 22 in Japan. It will launch in Q2 2021 in North America and Europe.
A year after its release, Streets of Rage 4 is getting new content. Dotemu, Lizardcube, and Guard Crush Games today announced Mr. X Nightmare, paid DLC featuring three new playable characters as well as the “Survival” game mode. Players will also be able to download a free update featuring New Mania+ difficulty, an in-depth training system, and fresh color palette options.
