Could Professor Layton and the Curious Village be coming to Switch? A listing from G4F Localization certainly gives some hope in that area.

The website for G4F Localization has a page up for Professor Layton and the Curious Village for Switch, which was just added this month. It states that that the company worked on “additional translation for the Nintendo Switch version, in French by G4F & Italian, German and Spanish by Native Prime.” A 2018 date is also mentioned, but that could just be when localization was done.

Around the middle of last month, I added a post to the site mentioning our interest in bringing in a couple of new reviewers. The response was really overwhelming, as we had a ton of interest in the position – definitely more than was expected. We ended up receiving a ton of applications so it took me a little over a month to respond to everyone’s initial emails, read through samples, and think about who would be best for the position.

We’ve now notified the people we’ll be moving forward with. I want to thank everyone who showed interest initially as well as for their patience during the decision-making process. I truly appreciate it.

But the search for new blood is never over! Right now we’re considering expanding our translators team. If you believe you’re knowledgeable with Japanese and have what it takes, please send in an email here (select “Site Position”). Note that it’s technically an unpaid position, but we’ve been slowly moving towards compensation. Also, unlike the recent reviewer position, we’re much less certain about how many people we’ll add (if any). We’ll only expand the team if it makes sense for everyone involved. Thanks!

According to a listing on the eShop, Shadow Blade: Reload will be appearing on Switch next month. The action-platformer is due for release on April 3.

Here’s an overview of the game, along with a trailer:

Back in February, fans datamined Realm Royale and found a line of text pointing to a possible Switch version. Given that Hi-Rez Studios already has Paladins and Smite on the eShop, the news about Realm Royale also likely releasing on the system wasn’t a huge surprise. It also wasn’t surprising since Paladins and Smite were both leaked for Switch through datamining.

Nearly two months later, Realm Royale has been datamined again and there’s even more evidence of an upcoming Switch version. Not only has a new alpha pack been spotted, but an unfinished “Nintendo Switch Chicken” has also been found.

Atlus announced Persona 5: The Royal earlier today. Unfortunately, it has only been confirmed for PlayStation 4 (at least for now) even though there were rumors of a Switch version also happening. Yet despite that news, the game may have a connectioon to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

The InkyPen app received a notable update this week. Version 1.1.0 is now available, which includes a selection of free comics and more.

Below are the full patch notes:

Nintendo has shared a new interview with Jared Moldenhauer, the co-creator of Cuphead. Moldenhauer weighed in on what inspired the making of the game, the well-known art style, and more.
