Lightning Rod Games has been tinkering away on a new project A Fold Apart. While the “3D puzzle game about the emotional struggle of a long distance relationship set in a world of folding paper” is targeted for Switch, the developer is looking for some help from the community to help make the experience even better.
A campaign has opened on Fig where fans can support and pre-order A Fold Apart. Additional funding will “facilitate the development of additional paper folding mechanics, enhance the story through added animation and cutscenes, as well as enable the game to come to all major platforms at launch, including Nintendo Switch.”

Yesterday, the Summer’s Arrival Summoning Focus went live in Fire Emblem Heroes, and one of the featured Heroes, Noire: Shade Seeker, has a brand new skill: Infantry Rush. What this skill is supposed to do is give infantry allies within two spaces a faster special charge if their attack is higher than their opponent’s. However, a bug has been discovered regarding this skill. Instead of only allies, Infantry Rush affects nearby enemy units as well.
Intelligent Systems have sent out a notice today that they identified this bug and that it will be fixed via a patch within the next few days. As an apology, orbs will also be sent out to all players.
Although Nintendo has been taking extensive measures against hackers on Nintendo Switch lately, it seems like they haven’t gotten everything under control yet. One of things that hackers have managed to accomplish is the ability to use your own custom pictures as your Switch profile icon. This wouldn’t really be a huge problem on its over, however this image is visible to other players in Super Mario Odyssey’s Balloon World mode – and some hackers have reportedly been using pornographic images as their profile pictures. In a game that is intended for players of all ages, this is obviously an issue.
Hopefully, Nintendo is able to take swift countermeasures against this. Until then, if you have younger children, it’s probably best to not let them play the Balloon World mode for a while.
Mario Tennis Aces has a fairly significant day one update. Among other things, it adds the Online Tournament mode to the game and significantly improves the online play experience. Below are the full patch notes:

Today’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate blog update unfortunately isn’t all that exciting or new. Just like yesterday with Link, it’s the (re-)introduction of a veteran – today, the focus is on the Ice Climbers, who are returning from Super Smash Bros. Brawl after missing out on Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U.
Back in the battle after a ten-year absence! There are two of them, so does that make them twice as strong as other fighters?
