A few days ago, Nintendo issued the latest update for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. Version 1.3.1 officially fixed some bugs, though there was more to that under the surface.

As usual, this week’s update has been datamined, showing a bunch of upcoming content. Villagers, events, and more has been discovered within the files.

Japanese publisher Cosen doesn’t have any plans for April Fools’ Day, but the Japanese games publisher is having some fun with fans. What we ultimately have is what looks to be a tease for Fight of Gods on Switch.

Fire Emblem Heroes recently added in some new maps featuring Robin: Fell Vessel and Olivia: Blushing Beauty. We have some footage of both below.

PLiCy has announced plans to bring the reasoning adventure game Buddy Collection if: Red String of Destiny to Switch. In Japan, it’s due out this spring on the eShop. Pricing is set at 800 yen.

As we’ve seen over the past few years, game developers have gotten into the April Fools’ Day spirit with fake announcements. Some companies have already started sharing their news ahead of April 1 – which is tomorrow of course.

We don’t have any plans for any April Fools’ Day jokes, though we will once again be rounding up all of the Nintendo-related “announcements”. We’ll keep this post updated over the next day or so.

During a 24-hour live stream today, Arc System Works announced a new project. Wizard’s Symphony is coming to Switch as well as the PlayStation 4 – assuming this isn’t an elaborate April Fools’ Day joke.

Wizard’s Symphony is a dungeon RPG. It’s set in the same world as Wizard’s Harmony, a series that started in 1995 on the SEGA Saturn and PlayStation and featured adventure / simulation elements. More information about Wizard’s Symphony will be included in the April 12 issue of Dengeki PlayStation.

Red Barrels brought Outlast 2 to Switch this week. In a new video, Digital Foundry takes a closer look at the port and compares it to the PlayStation 4 version.

Regarding resolution, Outlast 2 runs at 1008p (yes, not 1080p) when docked. For portable play, it’s the standard 720p. Frame rate comes in at 30 FPS in both modes.
