Miitomo is going out with one last event. Up until the app’s closure on May 9, Nintendo will be hosting the Miitomo “Final Thank You Festival”.
First, there will be new daily login bonuses. Users will be provided with 2,000 Miitomo coins and 5 game tickets each day.
Following the news about Nintendo closing Miitomo, Nintendo has posted an official announcement about the end of the app. This has some news regarding what will no longer be possible on May 9.
Below is the announcement in full:
If a new rating from Taiwan is anything to go by, Marvelous could be bringing Assault Gunners HD Edition to Switch. The classification popped up in the official database this week.
Assault Gunners is an action shooting title originally released for the PlayStation Vita in 2012. This rating indicates that Marvelous is working on a high-definition remaster. Assault Gunners HD Edition was actually rated in Australia as well recently, so it looks like it could be released around the world.
Nintendo has announced the end of Miitomo. The mobile app will draw to a close on May 9 in Japan at 4 PM. That translates to:
– 12 AM PT
– 3 AM ET
– 8 AM in the UK
– 9 AM in Europe
Users will unable to purchase Miitomo coins as of today. Nintendo will host login bonuses featuring coins and tickets going forward. Refunds will also be provided for unused paid coins, but it’s unclear if this will extend to regions outside of Japan.
World Heroes 2 is this week’s NeoGeo game on Switch. For a look at it in action, check out the video below.
Amazon UK is holding a special sale of sorts. For one day only, you can save £10 on an order that costs £50 or more.
Nintendo Labo is one good option here. Of course, you’re free to use it on anything else £50 above. Just make sure to use the code within the next day.
Earth Wars arrived on the Japanese Switch eShop earlier today. It’s now out in Europe as well, and Nintendo’s website lists the game’s launch for tomorrow in North America.
Somewhat confusingly, Earth Wars already came west under the English name Earth’s Dawn. The western version was originally handled by Rising Star Games. But since One or Eight is in charge of the Switch release directly in North America and Europe, they’ve decided to keep the original title. In all regions on Switch, the game is officially called Earth Wars.
Here’s a brief overview:
“In the year 2020 the world has become a nest for the unknown hostile organisms (E.B.E.). No current weapons appear to make any impact on the E.B.E. leaving humanity powerless, and on the brink of destruction. However, humanity has now got one last hope for survival in the development of bioarmor which fuses the EBE’s body tissue with metal. These are the Special Enhanced A.N.T.I troops who have incorporated this weaponry with remodeling surgery. With the power of the A.N.T.I., humanity for the first time successfully destroys the EBE Baron class. In the wake of this victory, humanity has mounted a large-scale counteroffensive. With the hopes of the new strength of the A.N.T.I.”
