Plenty of attention has been given to the new release of the NVIDIA Shield in China, and understandably so. One big aspect is that a few Wii games are playable on the device, with more to come (and GameCube games to boot).
We heard yesterday that these titles are streamed, and aren’t actually ports. However, it appears that the initial information was a mistake. An NVIDIA rep has stepped forward, saying that this “has been talked about internally.” The Nintendo titles “are running natively, are remastered, and look great.”
The Wii games available on the NVIDIA Shield in China run at a 1080p resolution. New Super Mario Bros. Wii, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Punch-Out!!, and Super Mario Galaxy have started the Nintendo partnership.
Thanks to Justin for the tip.
Similar to the way in which Shiftlings was confirmed for Switch, we have news about another title from Rock Pocket Games heading to the console. The studio’s website shows that Starflux Rivals is also on the way.
Starflux Rivals is described as “a multiplayer competitive brawler” that takes inspiration from the likes of Smash Bros. and Worms. Gravity is the hook here, as it will pull you towards the nearest surface. That means fights can take place while walking upside down, and the game’s physics will allow you to orbit around the arena to surprise your opponents.
We have more information about Starflux Rivals below, along with a trailer.
Wobbly Tooth has announced that Battleminerz is heading to 3DS on December 21. It’s scheduled for release in North America, Europe, the UK, and Australia on that day.
Wobbly Tooth shared the news in a tweet:

Battleminerz features an infinite open world with character customization, texture packs, unique wildlife, and more. Adventure, Creative, Horde, and Battle modes are included along with the ability to play with friends locally or online.
A new Splatfest in Splatoon 2 will be held this weekend. As is tradition, Nintendo has prepared some special art for the event. We have it above.
The next Japanese Splatfest pits warm inner wear up against warm outerwear (Heattech vs. Ultra Light Down) as a collaboration with UNIQLO. We’ll post the results as soon as it wraps up this weekend.
Pokemon GO’s roster of Pokemon is likely expanding very soon. An ad for a new round of Gen 3 Pokemon has been spotted, signaling that Niantic will have more to add in the near future.
The ad, pictured above, comes from the Apple Watch App Store. While the text is the same as the Halloween event, the Pokemon are not. Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip from Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire should be on the way soon, along with other potential Pokemon.
Atelier: Lydie & Suelle is inching closer to its March 27 release. Though that seems far away, below is a video of the synthesis system to tide you over.
During synthesis, the player is required to do small puzzles in order to create powerful items out of other materials.
Some may remember Shiftlings on the Wii U, a puzzle game about controlling two differently sized characters who are tethered together.
Well, Rock Pocket Games has added a little sentence to their game’s description online: “A Nintendo Switch version of the game is being released soon.”
More indie games are always welcome on the Switch. At the time of writing, any sort of release date has not yet been hinted at.
Bandai Namco has recently filed a trademark for “One’s Justice” in Europe. This may very well imply that the game is going to get a western localization.
While the game is currently slated for release in Japan only, this copyright may serve as a symbol of peace for fans of the game elsewhere.
We’ll just have to wait until Jump Festa 2018, when a trailer is due, to see what this quirky game has to offer. Hopefully it goes beyond! Plus Ultra!
As for today’s Breath of the Wild digital gift, director Fujibayashi found it appropriate to provide some nut-themed rewards.
As long as you’re subscribed to the Zelda news channel, as always, you can tune in and press the button to get yourself the gift. This time, it’s 2 Acorns and 3 Chickaloo Tree Nuts. The director suggests the you use these gifts to cook some sauteed nuts!
Forgive me for this, but: Go nuts!
