Two new arcade games are beginning to see distribution on the Switch eShop. Gunbarich and Strikers 1945 are available in Japan, and we’ve been hearing reports that the former is also live in Australia.
Gunbarich originally debuted in 2001. It features a mix of brick-breaking, shooting, and pinball gameplay. As for Strikers 1945, the shoot ’em up arcade title first appeared in 1995.
We have trailers for the new Switch releases of Gunbarich and Strikers 1945 below.

Quest of Dungeons has already appeared on both Wii U and 3DS. Next week, it’s joining Nintendo’s latest platform as well.
A listing on the Japanese eShop shows that Quest of Dungeons will release on August 10 for 800 yen. We expect that an overseas launch will be taking place soon as well.
Here’s a trailer for the new Switch version:

Listings on the eShop have pointed to Use Your Words launching on Switch this week. A new tweet from Smiling Buddha Games officially confirms the news.
The Use Your Words Twitter account sent out a brief message stating that the game will indeed be coming out this week. You’ll be able to pick it up on the eShop starting tomorrow.

Last week, Square Enix put out the Japanese New 2DS XL Dragon Quest Liquid Metal Slime Edition in collaboration with Nintendo. Get a closer look at the hardware with the unboxing video below.
In our indie feature a few months ago, we asked Team Colorblind if Aztez would still be made for Wii U. We were told that releasing on the older system isn’t entirely off the table “if it seems like there’s still a market for it, and it isn’t a technical nightmare”.
Team Colorblind offered an update about the situation in a new blog post as well. Team Colorblind noted that the company is primarily authorized for Wii U currently, “but we’re going to try and pivot that into a Switch release instead.” Bringing Aztez to Switch rather than Wii U may make more sense at this point.
Following Ironcast, Ripstone has announced its second game for Switch. The company is currently working on Chess Ultra for the console.
Ripstone promises “stunning visuals, seamless online multiplayer and Grandmaster-approved AI that offers the ultimate chess experience.” We’ll be hearing about Nintendo-specific features “soon.”

Splatoon 2 players are experiencing a rather nasty glitch right now. When playing League Battle, the game can completely crash. It seems to happen if you look at your previous stats, and if you have more than nine play records/are playing in team and pair subsections.
Nintendo is at least aware of the situation, and is working on a fix. We should be seeing another patch for Splatoon 2 in the near future.
Persona Q2 is officially coming to 3DS, Atlus has revealed. A teaser site for the game is located here.
At the moment, the site only confirms that characters from Persona 5 will be featured in Persona Q2. No additional information is provided.
We’ll presumably be hearing more about Persona Q2 in the weeks and months ahead.
