Dragon Ball Fusions is an action-RPG that provides a mix of fighting, customization, and collecting elements. Fans can look forward to a roster with a ton of different characters between the Dragon Ball anime and movies. It’s possible to come up with combinations of powerful characters, and the game sports functionality so that you can use the 3DS camera to take pictures with friends and fuse them with Dragon Ball characters or trade special moves with nearby players. This past week, Marvelous announced a new Senran Kagura game known as Peach Beach Splash. It’s not planned for Nintendo platforms, but series creator and producer Kenichiro Takaki remains interested in supporting what the big N brings to the table.

In an interview with DualShockers, Takaki spoke briefly about his interest in NX as well as how he still wants to make a pinball game. You can read his comments on both of those topics below, along with talk about how Nintendo initially reacted to Senran Kagura.

The Fire Emblem Fates Camilla figure is something that’s been shown off before, but only as a prototype and without color. At New York Comic Con this weekend, she’s fully on display.

Here’s a closer look:

As a bit of interesting trivia, did you know that Intelligent Systems is directly responsible for the Camilla figure?

Next week’s episode of Pokenchi (Gathering at the Pokemon House) is promising a huge presentation of Pokemon Sun/Moon. Not only will game footage of Sun/Moon be shown, but there will also be information about the upcoming anime.

The next official Pokemon Sun/Moon update is set for October 14. On top of that, CoroCoro’s new magazine should leak sometime within the next few days. What that means for new coverage from Pokenchi is unclear.

Although North America will need to wait until November 4 for Mario Party: Star Rush, it’s out now in Europe. Take a look at an hour of footage below.

A Kickstarter campaign has opened for Dungeon of Zaar, a “turn-based strategy game taking place in an ancient and magical castle where Explorers fight for treasures”. The team is seeking $28,099 in funds. It’s planned for NX assuming the funding goal is met.

Dungeon of Zaar promises single-player missions and training, online player-versus-player matches, and local play. Battles can be fast, with each one estimated to be around 15 minutes long. You’ll also be able to create items from materials won after battles that can be used later as an advantage.

A trailer fund Dungeon of Zaar can be found below. The Kickstarter campaign is located here.

Sonic the Hedgehog was one of the most iconic video game characters during the SEGA Genesis days, but he’s had a tough time over the past several years. Former SEGA of America CEO Tom Kalinske weighed in on the situation in this month’s issue of Game Informer, explaining that it’s not entirely unnatural.

Kalinske feels that Sonic’s “downward cycle” is part of the “natural up and down for any character.” He compared the situation to other big franchises like Star Wars. After being on the decline for some time, Kalinske says that it’s now time for Sonic “to have an upward cycle again”.

As Kalinske stated:

“I think there is some natural up and down for any character. We’ve certainly seen it with the Marvel characters over the years. We’ve seen it with Barbie. We’ve seen it with Star Wars. We’ve seen it with G.I. Joe and Hot Wheels. All of these brands have had their cycles. I think Sonic has had a downward cycle for a while, and it’s time to have an upward cycle again for a while.”

Minecraft: Wii U Edition added the new Chinese Mythology Mash-Up Pack earlier in the week. For a look at the DLC, watch the video below.

The NES Classic Edition has been a hot commodity since it was announced in July. It’s sold out at a lot of European retailers, and the same goes for the very select few in North America.

The Nintendo Classic Mini: Famicom was announced for Japan last week, and the situation is similar there as well. Big online retailers stopped accepting pre-orders soon after they opened. The likes of Amazon, Rakuten, and Yodobashi have all sold out. We’ll have to hope that there will still be some stock around for the holidays.

Here are some additional photos of the Nintendo Classic Mini: Famicom by the way:
